I reverted my TV back to factory settings and turned off the updates when they ruined the homescreen with those giant ads. Have they fixed that yet?

Been using GoogleTV on my Hisense H8G, and some buttons on the remote haven’t been responding: input, apps, etc.

I tried downloading Button Remapping, but every time I try to find the accessibility toggle it’s not there in the menu. So I’m kinda left stuck with this and it’s pretty annoying. Anybody else dealing with their remotes being remapped from the download?

I have a large library of content in Google Play Movies & TV and it doesn't show up under the "library" tab on Google TV. Even when I search for a movie that I own inside Google's infrastructure it doesn't give me an option to watch via Google Play. Instead it tries to get me to pay for some other service to watch it (Hulu, HBO, etc). If I manually go to all apps and open the Google Play Movies and TV app all my content is there. Basically there is no way to find or play my owned content via the normal Google TV interface. It is only accessible if I manually launch the old Google Play Movie & TV app.

This is super frustrating as this is one of the main reasons I wanted this Google device is to watch the large library of content I have paid Google for.

I’m wanting to buy a Chromecast with Google TV and, since I have one of those cameras laying around, I was wondering if someone else has tried it or knows if its going to work

I like to have the popular movies recommendations on my home screen. I set the play movies row but after a while when i close some random app an it updates it just goes away and i have to set it again.. and again.. Anyone with the same problem or alternatives?? Thanks a lot!

So I just got the new Chromecast with Google TV. I wanted to stream directly from a website but can't find a web browser app that works. Puffin required a subscription and TVWeb wouldn't load the streaming sites. Those were the only "browsers" that pulled up. Is there an app I can't find that would work to search the internet?

I’m new to the AndroidTV interface...is the Amazon Music app not available? I see Prime Video is available but not Music?

Just purchases a new Chromecast w/ Google TV and have been really loving it! The only issue I've noticed thus far is framerate issues when trying to stream sports at 720p via YoutubeTV. Anyone else experiencing this issue?

Got the new Google TV, and If the device is unplugged my device home internet speeds are 500 MB per second. Once it is plugged in all of the other devices go to 20 to 30 megabits per second. Anyone else having this issue? Doesn't matter if it's off or not

I just got the new dongle today, and I use HDHomeRun for my local tv. I'm trying to install it on there but it just says beta app and doesn't give me an option to actually install it.

I have the app installed on my shield no issues. Does anyone know how to get this installed without having to go through the hassle of sideloading.

I want a small simple universal remote - much like the old silver apple ones or the nvidia shield one.

I basically need a home and back button as well a direction pad. Would be great if the volume buttons could be self programmed to control the sound bar like the nvidia shield one does.

I currently have a Sony Android TV from 2015. A couple of months ago it started flickering badly and the repair was assessed to be prohibitively expensive, so I got a new one, another Sony Android TV, a 2020 model this time.

Is there a way for all my apps and data to be transferred over from the old TV to the new TV? Android phones have a new transfer feature on setup - is there something similar for TVs?

So I updated my Philips ambilght TV (50pus7334) from the Android TV home to Google TV home All went well but it seems to takes a lot longer than the android home to fully load up, ive also noticed that FTA (uk) catch up apps such as Itv Hub and All 4 won't open when I've got the Google launcher active, they just hang on a black screen. Anyone else having this problem? I've resorted back to the Android launcher because it works.

I haven't seen anyone else having this problem so I'm starting to wonder if I have a defective device.

I got a new "Chromecast with Google TV" device a few days ago. Trying it out, I think it's absolutely amazing compared to my previous Chromecast, as well as Samsung "smart tv", experiences. (Single hub for watching anything/everything, plus it's hella-fast compared to my "smart tv".)

Yesterday, I spent a bunch of time with the new device and remote, setting a lot of LIKES, DISLIKES, etc. Today when I opened the Google TV app on my PHONE, it doesn't look like any of my Likes transferred over from the Chromecast to my phone.

I'm using the same user credentials. Shouldn't these preferencea/settings be copying over to ALL of my devices?

I've tried moonlight and steamlink so far. Moonlight despite of good user's review, it has worse input lag/Image quality to me, not sure if I config it wrong.

Steamlink works fine but whenever game or program freezes and I have to force close on my comp. It's kinda annoying you can't emulate mouse cursor.

Is there anything else I can try? I have 2070s on PC and use built in android 9 on Sony 2020 TV. It can do 150mbps over 5ghz just fine.

My main question is, I have all the Google assistant personal results and what not shut off. Will the Google TV get notifications from my phone or other devices and is there anyway for it see my photos or anything personal on my account?

Hi all - I would be grateful for some help. I have an Android TV on a Phillips TV... I have sideloaded an APK file (Sky X) and for some reason it opens with an error. Is there anyway to see what is causing the issue or to repackage the app so that it plays better with Android TV? Or should it just work given that it works on my tablet? Any help appreciated!

So I just got the new Chromecast with Google TV and love it! I've played a few of the games that work with the remote. I noticed some more complicated games available to download (Farming Simulator 14) but it says "Gamepad Required". Is there a specific gamepad I need? I have an xbox one, can I use one of those controllers somehow?

Yesterday I wanted to install Google TV on my Phillips AndroidTV (55POS9002) and the installation of the Launcher apk crashed. I later discovered that my TV is running on AndroidTV 8 and 9 is necessary for the new GoogleTV...

I don't want to started a new thread where we discuss how bad the updates are on AndroidTV from the Manufacturer. It's bad.

But, I was wondering, when AndroidTV is basically android, it is possible to root my TV and install a custom ROM?
