So I just got the new Chromecast with Google TV. I wanted to stream directly from a website but can't find a web browser app that works. Puffin required a subscription and TVWeb wouldn't load the streaming sites. Those were the only "browsers" that pulled up. Is there an app I can't find that would work to search the internet?
If it was for browsing, I would have suggested TV Bro, but for streaming, Firefox for Android TV is the best.
What am I missing? Puffins free for me. Maybe a regional thing?

People have been sideloading Chrome and probably Firefox.

I use Firefox ( 32-bit ) with a Bluetooth Trackball .
I use athom homey with chromecast app and build a flow to send url to the chromecast with google tv.
Another option is to use web video caster on your phone to send the stream to the tv, but yeah firefox for firetv like someone else mentioned will work
