I have a usb-c hub and I'm using a usb mouse/keyboard with it (so I know the hub works). I plugged in the ps3 camera and its blue light turned on but I went to Duo and it says it couldn't connect to the camera, I forgot the exact error. I gave it permissions to the mic, camera and all that it requested. Didn't work. Forced stopped the app and reopened it but still did not work.
I'll try making a video call anyway to see if it works in a call and will power cycle the Chromecast. Will also try a different app.
Will update with results later tonight.
Haven't tried it myself but it does work on Android & android TV devices so 99% certain it will work with Chromecast with GTV. It will work on the 2017 NVIDIA shield TV.
Edit: sorry, actually it won't work. It doesn't have USB ports.
If you have a usb hub yes it will work,
What do you want to use it for?
If the camera is not UVC (Universal Video Class) and you want to use it with Google Duo, then it won't work.
