Anyone have any clue why my Mi box and it's apps can't see anything on my local network? Internet is working fine

I got myself a PUS7303 last year and just updated it to Oreo.

I use external speakers (connected via jack) and before the update I could control its volume simply with the remote.

After the update I can only control the volume on the speakers, even if I use an optical cable.

Downgrading is not an option unfortunately, the previous version was so buggy for me that it was almost unusable (TV randomly not turning on etc).

Please help me!

Okay, so my very first post here.

Hello guys, i was looking to a buy a new 4k television. One product in particular, piqued my interest, but then i saw an image posted by a reviewer which showed CPU-Z(an app to check the specs pf your android device) running on that TV and it showed its resolution as 1920*1080. While that TV is branded as 4k.

I have seen this in a couple of more 4K TVs also.

So what could be happening here?

Hey Guys. I'm looking to get an Android TV Box. I have a Roku OS TV. (It has Roku built in.) Can I plug in the Android TV to the tv and override Roku OS, or will it not work. If so, what is the best inexpensive android TV box that's actually good. I have an extra HDMI port. Thank you in advance!

Hi all I got a TCL 32ES560, which I recently updated to firmware v190.

Issue started randomly before the update. On my TV I just installed TuneIn as a third-party app and mostly I Chromecast something from my phone from time to time.

I did the usual troubleshooting starting gradually:

• force update from PS settings
• restarted device from settings
• cleared data
• cleared the cache
• uninstalled all the updates
• restored to factory

Once I did that I observed:

• Play services look like they're updating as expected (on 19.4.20 at the moment)
• Play Store stuck on v 10.15.10 , Store updated after a check

I tried to manual update using v 11.20 from apkmirror and hoping to fix the issue, no joy, so I threw the towel and installed v.16.7.31.

Am I doomed to do manual updates from now on? I thank you for any help.

Hello. I just went out on my balcony for a smoke listening/watching to a lecture on YT. As it was mostly spoken information I was just listening with an open door. I caught a glimpse of the screen in the glass of my door. That gave me an idea. I would like to sometimes be able to watch TV in a mirror. Gives an opportunity to adjust watching position. Also watch from the balcony. Is it possible to flip the image?

This has been an idea for so long, and considering native Chromecast got it in Nov 2018, we're coming up on a year now. We still have had no word from Google when (or even if) this would become available, but there are so many of us out there that want it. The sound setups that I have for my TV's are the best sound setups in my house. It's a shame I cannot do this at this point. Anyone else agree? Sorry to only complain here..

Hi guys I just bought a MI box s but unfortunately I get negative colors sometimes. Apparently it has something to do with the hdmi connection (hdcp). Most android boxes have an option to set it to RGB color mode. Can't find this in the MI box s. Any way to apply these settings? Thanks in advance!

Hey I have a question. I have a Tanix android box. I ran a speed test on it with a cat6 Ethernet cable because I have been getting some buffering, my internet service is 100mbps. When I run a test I get a download of 37mbps but when I use a Ethernet cable and run a test on my laptop I get a download of 95mpbs. My question if I get a cat8 Ethernet cable will my internet run faster to my android box? Thanks

This is response to an old thread which no solution was ever provided. I have Nvidia Shield, I have old iphone and Ipad, Android TV remote works perfectly once paired no issues. I have a new iphone 11, Android TV remote works, but I have to pair it each time I open the app. if I close the app it needs to be repaired each time i want to connect. This is the only Keyboard app that supports Paste function. so the Nvidia shield remote is worthless with out the paste function.

So has anyone else had this constant issue of Pairing each time you open Android TV app and found some resolution. Since it works on all my devices except the iphone 11 I presume its something unique to those phones and how they store the wifi pairing information

I just got a UHD tv running Android 9.

This is my first experience with android tv.

Previously I was using a HD tv with firestick 2.

Can anyone suggest some of the must have apps to install and tips for android tv?

One thing I liked on my fire stick was the ability to monitor the data usage. It was in the settings. Does Android tv have such a setting or is there an app which does that?

I can't find a way to get the amazon movies app onto my Android TV without chromecasting from my phone. I cbf sideloading. Any suggestions?

Maybe Im blind but is it possible to easily switch profiles in youtube? I haven't found a way (outside of logging out and back in) and have sideloaded Smart Youtube TV in the meantime for my other profile. My annoying friend tells me you can swap profiles pretty easily on apple tv.
