Hey all,

I bought a 65" 4K Phillips TV a couple months ago. Over the last couple days I've had an audio issue occur while watching movies. When the audio in the movie gets a little bit quieter, the audio will cut out completely until whatever is happening in the movie gets louder (like someone talking or music getting louder).

This started happening while I was streaming a movie through my Xbox one. Then it was happening while we were watching a DVD through the Xbox one. So we changed out the HDMI, still happened. Then we switched to the PS4, and still happened.

I tried all 3 of the HDMI ports on the back, and it happens with all of them. I can't find anyone else that sounds like they have this problem. The audio only cuts out completely when whatever is happening in the movie is quieter than normal. It's still super annoying.

I just did an update to the TV to see if that fixed it, and it didn't.

Any suggestions?

I recently tried to use the USB-C port to connect to my ethernet line using a UNI USB-C ethernet adapter. Did everything Tivo told me to do but still not seeing anything in Network/Internet settings indicating I can connect (other than through my wireless networks).

Does anyone have any insight on this issue?

I can't figure out if this is a Sony TV issue or an Android TV issue. I have my 2015 Sony XBR directly connected to a Ubiquiti Edgerouter ER-X. I've noticed that when my TV is turned off and in standby mode, it's ethernet connection is constantly flapping from a connected state to disconnected and back to connected. Is this expected? I can't figure out why it would be doing this.

Who can recommend a decent File Manager that is installable on Android TV, that is not a malware or a scam and that allows to show system/hidden files?

Now, if you search for "ES File Explorer" on the Play store you find dozens of illegitimate clones.

Been having bag screen lag with sheild remote and hesitation, stuttering etc wondering if anyone has experienced this? Batteries are good and not far away from device. All updates too. Thanks.for the help

I think this app is an India specific app and I cannot really find it on the play store for my TV. I have a fire tv stick where the app is available but I don’t want to plug that in. Any idea if I can get the apk for the TV app from somewhere?

I want to organize for example emulators folder, android games, Geforce Now etc... It is a pain going through a long row of apps just to make it to one.

I'm looking for a new Android TV box for the bedroom. I've an Nvidia Shield in the lounge and had a non-Android TV Beelink android box in the bedroom which has recently died. I need something which has spdif/toslink out as my audio setup in the bedroom requires this. Hence another Shield or one of the Xiaomi boxes are out. I'm seeing the Minix Neo T5 and also a few boxes from Mecool have spdif/toslink out. Anyone recommend these, or any other alternatives? Whatever box I buy will be used for standard stuff like Disney/YouTube/Netflix and for watching movies on my USB external drive.

For 2 months My Mi Box S Wifi doesn't go above 30mbps in download and upload goes at full speed. I have tried reset router and box but still doesn't go above 30mbps. I have a 200mbps connection. Earlier it used to touch 90mbps. Do anyone have this issue?

After resetting the box now when I try to play Netflix video via voice command through Google Home it says CANNOT PLAY NETFLIX ON ANDROID TV YET. This is weird it was working fine.

Any Idea what to do or how to fix it ?

Resolved, She's back from the dead. Details below in my last post. Still extremely happy with this box and I hope Android 9 will do as well as 8 did. Ematic was very helpful and even offered to update the box for me.

My Jetstream 4k (AGT418) has finally died. It refuses to boot, flashes the blue led for a second or two then goes back to red. Anyone have advice on how to resurrect this box? It's been good to me for a long time and hate to see it die this kind of death. I've tried using the reset pinhole between the USB ports - does nothing. Wanted to crack her open but didn't find any obvious screw holes, do the halves just snap together? Tried to connect with ADB via IP address but that failed too - I'm not sure if ADB was enabled or not.

Sometime in the past two weeks my jet stream Android TV I bought from Walmart a year ago appeared to receive an update. Auto updates were turned on so I didn't catch exactly what was updated but the options menu and the volume slider are different.

Now for whatever reason when I shut off my TV it's no longer be seen by my Google home so I cannot automatically cast or play to it without manually turning it on.

In the old version I remember there was a power option for the remote control that would allow it to shut down versus put it in a standby mode. However that option no longer seems to be present. Does anyone have any suggestions ? I've reset my device about four times now and can't get it working the way it was before.

Another strange thing is that the ethernet port stopped working on it but then started working again after I reset the device the third time.

I just bought a Mi Box S b/c it was supposed to be able to play Prime Video.

I have downloaded and updated to the latest version (5.2.10-googleplay-armv7a) via Aptoide and the app appears to install fine.

I'm able to launch it and browse all videos. I am not, however, able to login. I've tried from the initial launch screen, from within the app's settings, and by clicking on a video to watch.

The only thing that happens is that I see the progress wheel spin for 3-5 seconds and then, nothing. No error, no message, nothing.

Is there a way to remove the featured Google play Neverthink app? Im tired of seeing a man in underwear dancing whenever I open Google play.

I just picked up a Shield TV Pro and was hoping to do all my broadcast TV viewing from it using my HDHomerun TV Tuner instead of flipping through channels from my TV itself. I am a Plex lifetime subscriber but have avoided using that for live TV in the past because channels load unbearably slow. The Live Channels app seems to load fairly quickly but I was wondering if any other apps work better/load faster.

So I've downloaded Crave app on android box (no app for LG Smart TV and using HDMI Cable and phone is just a hassle) and I've logged in, the issue is there's no sound. Video plays fine but obviously useless without sound.. App downloaded from Play Store, same as on my phone.

Any way to fix this?

I would like to set a box up for my mum for her to watch Chinese TV and films.
