Looking to buy a android box, will be spending £50, any advise which one to choose

I've selected Art gallery alone as my Screensaver in Ambient mode. But it only shows random photographs. And even the weather isn't displayed. Help please?

Hi, I have a problem with YouTube videos having some age restricted content. I can play them without a problem on my PC or phone but on my TV I get notification if I want to proceed, I'm clicking yes, and then error "Something went wrong".

I have restricted mode turned off, I'm 25 years old so it's not that and I read about brand accounts etc. but my YouTube channel is set on my main Google account.

What else I can do to fix this problem?

Hey, Does anyone know if it's possible to pair a Bluetooth headphones to the jbl link bar so that one can watch Netflix without disturbing the rest of the family at late evening?

I haven't seen such option directly in the menu. It seems like the Bluetooth supports only controllers and audio sources.

But when pairing a phone a note at the bottom of the screen reads that in order to pair other accessories (and it lists headphones) you just need to press and hold the Bluetooth button.

I tried this option to pair my Marshall headphones and it didn't work out. The pairing process fails for some reasons. I tried paring my LG headsets but no luck with those either.

I tried to reach out to the support but it's been almost a week now and still no reply from them.

And I started to wonder if I need to buy a JBL headphones for it to work.

Little edit: I am talking about casting mobile apps on TV.

I have many movies stored locally in my hardrive and USB flash drive. I want to play them in a TV offline. Looking for a TV for that.

It should be able to play all the media files smoothly. Even massively encoded x264 files that an average media players struggles to stream.

I don't really care about online streaming like Netflix, prime video etc. If it has motion video smoothning(memc) feature that most TVs have basically they turn any video into 60+ fps in real time.

The budget is mid-range. Not too expensive.

I have a lot of videos(family) that are 4gb plus in size. I wanted to see them on my android tv so bought a SanDisk pen drive. The thing is when in the fat32 format both the tv and phone can acess the pendrive but I can't transfer files greater than 4gb. Fat32 also works with my ubuntu machine.

I tried exfat, my phone and computer can access it but the Android tv gives a read error.

Is there a format that will work with Android phone (android 20), android tv (android 9) , ubuntu and windows? What about the three excluding windows?

Any help is much appreciated. PS: it is a Motorola Android tv.

Sideload the app. Go into the settings and enable the experiment to make it work with any device. Plug the controller. Use the Shield remote app to navigate. Launch a game. Voilà !

Hi, I got a new Budget 4K TV with Android TV OS for the Guest Room. I want to use a fresh Google Account on this TV Set but unfortunately I live in a Country where a SMS Verification is mandatory to create a new Gmail Account and I already registered too many Google Accounts on my Phone Number.

I got a new Sansui 4K Android TV. When I plug an HDD into the USB port, it says in English that a media device was detected. So everything is fine until this point. Then it opens a media player which displays content in a different language. I can manage to select the video files, but even pausing the video says something like "pauzinja", so definitely not English. Is there a way to change this language? Which of course is not the language the whole TV interface is.

Has anyone attempted to use a universal remote with the new Tivo Stream 4k? If so were there specific codes that worked?

Hi I have a Nvidia shield tv pro 2019. with the new shield controller. I am trying to charge the shield controller. It’s been charging for an hour now and the percentage has not moved. How long does it take to change the new shield controller? do I need to have my Nvidia shield tv pro 2019 on to charge the controller or no ? Thank you very much

I recently got my first android TV. Its a Philips 4k ambilight... all that good stuff

I ran the channel finding thing and i found all my channels. But the 4k channels werent working.

So then i remembered i have a card thing that goes in the back. I tried using that and now all the channels have sound but no picture. All the OSD work correctly i can do whatever except see things. the screen is just black

Recently purchased this stick and have it working with Plex on a 2019 Shield Pro. However no matter what I try I cannot get it to show as a source in Live Channels app. I've tried clearing the app data. Uninstalling updates to go back to 1.22 of the app and installing 1.23.1 and 1.24 but nothing works. Can anyone confirm if they have this USB tuner working with Live Channels and what version they are on please. Failing this are there any other free OTA tuner/guide services? Plex is a sub (free until end of June) and so is Channels Live and I don't want to pay for what i currently get for free through my TV. Thanks all ✌️

I'm in the market for a new budget TV and deciding between a Roku or Android TV interface. This brought me here, where consensus seems to be that the experience on models like TCL and Specter suffer with Android TV. Is that accurate? Would I be better off getting a basic TV and adding an external Android TV box to it?
