Jetstream 4k (AGT418) Dead - Anyone been there?

by clintonSouthwood

[EDIT]

Resolved, She's back from the dead. Details below in my last post. Still extremely happy with this box and I hope Android 9 will do as well as 8 did. Ematic was very helpful and even offered to update the box for me.

My Jetstream 4k (AGT418) has finally died. It refuses to boot, flashes the blue led for a second or two then goes back to red. Anyone have advice on how to resurrect this box? It's been good to me for a long time and hate to see it die this kind of death. I've tried using the reset pinhole between the USB ports - does nothing. Wanted to crack her open but didn't find any obvious screw holes, do the halves just snap together? Tried to connect with ADB via IP address but that failed too - I'm not sure if ADB was enabled or not.

Maybe you can check the power supply by using a different one.

I got it fixed with SD card and burned manager

Can you send the firmware file to me? My box has been really glitchy and slow lately and a factory reset didn't help.

So before I throw my at a wall or blow it up does anyone know why I can't factory reset my device or get it to allow me on to the settings and when I turn it on it gets glitchy. I've tried to search for the answers but can't find it and I'm ready to snap trying to fix this thing. it has been off for months cause my kids lost their tv privileges and now that I am plugging it back in it won't let me do anything but look at the apps.

I bet Android 9 updated arrived and bricked the device, it's been a common behavior with some ATV devices regardless the brand when that update applies, you should contact Ematic to ask for a firmware file to burn it using Amlogic burning software using a computer and a male-to-male USB cable.
