Philips TV keeps flashing/flickering

Hello people. My TV started flashing like that a week ago, now it keeps getting worse. Any idea what that could be and if there is a way to fix it? It gets very annoying. It’s a 2016 model, 65PUS6521/12.

Just buy inexpensive brands and consider them an investment of a disposable throw away. something like a Chinese TCL will last at least 3-4 years for a 42-50 inch you can pick up at Target for like 300 bucks these days. consider it like a rental. pay it off or spend 15 bucks a month payments on it. if it last longer than the 2 year payoff Great. if it doesn't. Its like another cheap monthly payment that life throws at you. Quality is getting better on cheap brands. good solid black color and everything.

Nothing is design to last these days for a reason. Landfills. All plastic and other components are now design to break down in less than 10 years.

Modern tvs are crap. I have a similar problems with two tvs from different brands and it was impossible to replace the leds.

Does that backlight mirror the colors on the screen? Where did you get it?

Hey, I just got the same issue with my 65PUS6521 on the right side after 3.5 years of use... did you manage to get any fix or did you buy a new one?

Look on eBay. Replacing led strips isn't that hard, just take your time and don't forget how you took everything apart.

not for nothing but I have had my Sony for like 12 years and never had this type of issue... I know Sony isn't the cheapest or most popular brand these days but I found they make their products a little more durable.

Personally I'd stick with the major brands. Samsung, LG, Sony, maybe Vizio if you can get a good deal on it.

The left backlight is going out. That's a sign of a cheaper TV and if you paid $1500 for it, you paid too much. Side backlights are used on the cheaper TV's like the sub-$500 models you find on sale.

Might not be worth getting fixed at this point. Part and labor involved might be enough to get another cheap TV to replace it.
