SFTT work fine with 3gb single file. I actually transferred 6 3gb files in my android mi box S. Until i tried sending 7gb single file using SFTT. I keep getting error at 57% (at 4.2gb), saying "file too large". I'm using 128gb usb as my directory. Is there anyway i could transfer large files from my android phone to my box using SFTT? Or can you recommend me any app?

(Update) i fixed it by formatting my flash drive to exfat. I was able to transfer my 7gb video file without any problem. Thanks to sid32.

Hey guys, is there any chance to connect USB Controller to MI Box or Android TV i have them both, I tried connecting controller directly to USB port but TV or MI Box does not recognized it...

Not sure what happened but the Hulu app will not work at all now. Just gives a sorry unable to start message. I've cleared the cache, cleared the data, Uninstalled it, and turned the TV off and back on. Nothing has fixed it.

EDIT: looks like Hulu is down Nationwide on all platforms. Leaving it up in case other people search for it. Also, the app is still hot garbage

I bought a Google Chromecast with Google TV in 2021 ($60 CAN). I added a USB C Hub Adapter ($36 CAN) so that I could attach USB storage to play other videos. While I really like the Google TV interface and experience, I'm wondering if it would have made more sense to go with another Android TV device that already has the USB port built it. It might even be less costly.

What is the consensus here about the best choice for an Android TV device with a USB port for playing external content?

I work in a small museum and we just got a TV (XIAOMI MI TV P1 43) to broadcast our documentaries. It's (of course!) an Android TV.

I am looking for a way to make the TV power on and start playing the movie in loop when the museum opens and shuts down/sleeps when it closes.

For the moment, we have a black screen video with a duration equal to the closure duration, but it's not really awesome because the TV is always on. We have already disabled sleep mode and screen saver timers.

Is there any way to do that, using Android TV settings or an app? Or the default demo mode used in shops?

There is an app I use regularly (Fite TV) that has gone hardcore on blocking vpn use for non-us stuff. As a result, if I update the app I’ll no longer be able to use it.

Is there a way to set just this one app to not update automatically without stopping it for everything?

Can't seem to find Google Opinion Rewards apps on Google TV Play Store. Tried sideloading the APK and managed to install.

However, when I launch the apps, can't seem to select the button Continue as <Google account>.

When i tried turning it on the standby light just flashes, says no command. Then it turns off then goes back on again to the flashing standby light and back to saying no command

Edit: to add i only see one button its in the middle of the bottom of the tv just behind the standby light

I just bought an Onn Walmart UHD box and it works great but there is no option to put the box to sleep or turn it off via software. How do you guys turn it off (other than unplugging it)?

Is there a screensaver app for Android TV which supports SMB Network Shares?

I have tried Photo Gallery and Screensaver but it only supports SMB1 which is insecure.

I enabled SMB1 but still couldn't get it to work.

I'm an android developer, new CCwGTV owner, also looking into an nvidia shield for the media room.

I know that with some of the various third party launchers there's the ability to add widgets, but not many widgets play nicely.

Are there widgets that you'd like, or find missing, from your android tv experience? I'd be interested in taking a swing at making a few and getting them up in the store. Both as a fun personal project and to help out the community.
