There isn't , take into account that not all apps for smartphones are available for Android TV, it's up to the developer to provide a leanback interface to be able to use it appropriately.
However, I think you can invoke information about your calendar info with the Google Assistant, try to say something like,
OK Google what are my appointments for today?
What is my schedule for today?
or something similar.

OK but how about having the best of both worlds adding a row for widgets to the advertisements on the home screen.
