Android TV Set and Forget, or Regular Maintenance?

Hi everyone,

I bought for my parents Xiaomi Stick 4K

And installed for them about 5-6 streaming apps ...

My question is: can I set and Forget? Or they should clear apps cache sometimes? Is it increasing so much?

What will happend when storage is full for example?

They are Technophob's unfortunately

With that few apps the generally terrible 8 GB storage should be fine.

But the newer interface might be bad. For technophobes, Roku is generally easier and with less odd issues, even if more limiting in general.

Android will clear caches itself if storage runs low. It's basically the point of a cache.

If they use it a lot there could be times when clearing cache on an app is necessary if it acts up. but really if they can navigate inside streaming apps they can handle that.

Is there a way to auto clean cache every few weeks ? Or every boot?
