Hello, I have bought Xiaomi Stick TV 4K (The new one with Android TV 11). I used it to stream media files from Google Drive using add-on in Kodi apps (the method is the same as the one I use with Mi Box S)

The issue is once I clicked the files to play, the media interface pop-up but with the black screen and files weren't played but there is no problem using Mi Box S.

Are anyone facing this issue? If yes, have u found out any solutions ?

I’ve noticed the last few times I’ve tried to play certain shows on Netflix and Hulu that they either won’t load, or will load partway with a black screen and sound only, or load to 25% (Netflix) and play sound but that’s it. I know it’s not a connectivity issue because other shows and movies will play fine, and I’ve switched between my WiFi and hotspot and it’s the same. My remote also lags/won’t respond. Brand new batteries so not sure if it’s the remote or TV… I am also not able to open my settings now?! I can scroll over to settings but nothing happens when clicked, and it does not work from the remote either. TV is only 2.5 years old, have the same one in my living room with hardly any issues ever. The one acting up had been dropped maybe 2-3 times (small TV stand/irresponsible me) before I mounted it but this was not recent at all. Figure if it was from that it would have immediately started acting up. Who knows… can anyone help?! Or know how to restart the TV by remote without having to kick settings?

I have a Sony KD55X7055 that does have HDR but not the fancy kind. I use a Realme 4K stick and sometimes, even with HDR content, I imagine the image gets a bit blown out, depending on how the material is mastered or something. Maybe 4K SDR is overall better quality using different streaming services?

Spotify on my Philips (50PUS9006/12) keeps getting lagspikes after a few songs into a playlist. It's got a wired connection and a high internet speed (500mbit up and down). I have a soundbar (Philips TAB8805/10) connected with E-ARC as well, but I assume that wouldn't be relevant? Only spotify gets these lagspikes.

Any ideas?

Hi I'm looking for android streaming media as i will use it to watch iptv primarily and to watch Netflix in 4k with Dolby vision and atmos Which one should i buy?

I've had my stream 4k for awhile and I've loved it. Recently I picked up a 4k tv for the first time after my 1080p model finally died and I just set up my TiVo. It seems to be working alright, but whenever I try to switch the video quality to 4k in SmartTubeNext or the official YouTube app the TiVo immediately reboots.

It's directly plugged into the outlet with the adapter rather than USB and I've factory reset it twice. I've also set the HDMI port to the 2.0 setting and the auto setting and I get the same results regardless. It's fully updated. Any idea what the issue could be?

Hi: I own a Google TV, and noticed that my Bluetooth headphones works with most streaming apps but not HBO Max and Apple TV+. Have you guys experienced this? Is this a problem with Google TV or those streaming apps?

Casting from Chrome browser out of sync. How to fix it?

Has anyone else had any problems casting from Chrome to Android tv going out of sync? (audio and picture) It's fine if I use a standard Chrome cast but the Android tv casting is having some issues

I have a Philips 43PUS8556. Its remote has a qwerty keyboard on the back that works fine with the TV's own Android system but the Firestick connected to it doesn't do anything when I try to type (rest of the remote works fine). Is there any way to make it work?

Has anyone ever had an issue where a Chromecast with Google TV or a Nvidia Shield Pro won't allow install from unknown sources, no matter how many times you tick allow?

It is currently a case of resetting it and installing one or two apps that you don't want this issue with via ADB before you install the rest of the apps via ADB.

After so many apps have been pushed it then puts a little padlock / camera looking symbol symbol on the icon on the rest.

I've noticed every app in the list that won't allow it has the symbol on it.

So I have two Chromecast with GoogleTv and the one hooked to living room TV under services shows Plex and Pluto Tv on the one in the bedroom does not show these two under services. I checked and both are running same version. All the apps are same versions. Any idea why one would have them under services and the other don’t?

I am wondering if anyone can help me find a box that will let me play my videos on the VLC app from a USB with videos on it. I also would like to have audio passthrough with a 3.5mm jack as I will be using this for my trailer for camping this summer and our speakers use a 3.5mm jack but the TV uses HDMI.

I was wondering if you think it will be much better now that I am going to start using a new SanDisk external SSD directly to my 4K tv?

I have been using a 2TB HDD for a long time now, I used it most for movies, now it have suddenly started to make a low clicking sound the whole time, that kinda sounds like a moped/scooter. So I understood that this is the problem, I have been using it for movies very often, so it isn't as good any more.

Because it has suddenly started to pixelate and stutter in many movies that have been working before.

So I have now purchased a 1TB external SanDisk SSD, I do know that a SSD is much faster than a HDD.

But it will be limited to a USB 2.0 speed because of my TV anyways. The thing is that I have been able to watch movies for a long time now from a HDD, so I should be able to watch movies from a SSD that is for the first much faster and is more sustainable.

So what do you think, will I be able to watch heavier 4K files from the new external SSD directly attached on my tv through VLC etc? Because I have been able to do this from my HDD (before the clicking sound), so logically it will be even easier from the new SSD!?

I've been looking at the Mi Box S but concerned it will have similar issues.

My only other option is the Shield TV but that is hugely overkill for what she needs, but appears to be the only device that has some sort of cooling solution?

I have a huawei p30pro and a mibox 3. I can control my android TV with the remote but each time I try to connect my smartphone, it connects only 1 Second. It's listed as connected but I can't control the mibox from my phone even with all the apps (android remote, mibox remote apps). I would like to use my phone since I want to copypaste a password each time I want to access a directory on my android TV.

I managed to access it before with my previous phone, a one plus 3t.

Wondering if any of the VPNs off the ability to automatically switch server locations on a per app basis in Android TV? So what I'd like is (say) to have the VPN switch to a UK server when I run iPlayer and a US server when I run Netflix as opposed to manually switching locations before I run the app?

Just made the switch and followed the Troypoint tutorials to modify and I absolutely love this device especially for $20 only issue I’ve had is that I’m unable to pair my Westinghouse VR-4090 I know it’s an older tv but it has the option to try and program it but all the options it gave me to try and in the end it just said “looks like Onn TV can’t control this device” seems kind of dismissive as my FireTV and Roku etc were able to control all of my devices just fine. Do I have to get an alternative remote or something? I just want to be able to turn my tv on and off with one remote
