Using a Hisense AndroidTV and after a recent update the hisense remote no longer adjust volume for the hdmi connected a/v receiver. Tried every audio related setting short of resetting the TV back to factory settings. Was the feature dropped? Thx.

I have a Harmon/karton avr151s and a Tcl 70p615 ( it’s kind of a limited version. Couldn’t find it on any sites) the hdmi arc is not working I tried to restart both the avr and the tv I turned on cec on the tv and I can assure that the cable is connected to the hdmi arc port on both the tv and avr can anyone help me resolve this issue?

On my Sony Bravia, it seems the latest update to Google Play Movies has caused it to have a constant issue when trying to play movies. When I try to play something, I get a vague "There was an error" with no other info. I have tried clearing data with no luck, and the only fix seems to be uninstalling updates but I know that's not a long-term solution.

Is anyone else experiencing this, and if so have you found a fix?

UPDATE: Looks like this was fixed with the March 5th update to Google Play Movies.

I bought a Hisense 65 Q8G on Black Fridayand it's mostly been great. When Lord of The Rings was remastered to 4k I bought the 3 movie box set on Google Play Movies and 1 of the 3 movies I would experience the black bars switching from a true black to a dark grey continually, very annoying. And there was also some horizontal noise along the bottom of the screen. Since I bought on Google Play I also tried playing them through the YouTube app and they were fine.

I figured it may just be an app glitch with Play Movies.

Now I'm watching episode 8 of Wandavision on D+ and it's doing the same black to grey bar issue. 4k Dolby Vision.

I don't have any display setting turn on like auto detect contrast, motion smoothing/enhancement/clearness, etc. None of those

All apps are updated as is the TV. I did an uplug power reboot and still experiencing the issue.

Any ideas or solutions?

Out the box the wifi is broken. refunded and they said to scrap it and not return. Wtf right? But everything else is amazing. Is there a usb dongle that will receive wifi for it?

Thinking of buying a tcl andoid tv (p717) but i want to see if my vpn provider app can be directly downloaded on the tv! i.e. if the tv has full play store access..

I basically want a TV that can have my vpn installed on it for accessing netflix and internet browser directly (not through a pc or smartphone use) and of course being able to change servers while on it for switching content.

Did anybody follow through this procedure to advise me or even any other recommendations would also be much appreciated!

I have 5ghz and the internet speed on the tv is 300mb+, the internet doesn't crash on the other computers and tv boxes at home (which are even further from the one that is crushing), what to do ^^? (I will point out that the TV internrt crushes even when it is the only thing that is turned on). I'm connected via wifi but the tvbox is really close an as I said it gets a lot of speed, it's just losing connection for some reason.

Does anyone know why my x900h doesn't yet have the newest android tv home update? I've tried region changes, vpn, apk's and just about any and everything. I'm located in the US so it should've officially come through but it still hasn't. Any help would be great as I don't like the old android tv UI

Hey, I've recently gotten my hands on a Mi TV Stick. My experience so far has been pretty good. Until it randomly rebooted and won't get out of a boot loop. Id see the splash screen (Mi logo 'n stuff), and after that the screen turns into a random color aaaand reboots again. It sometimes gets to the home screen, but upon launching any app it reboots yet again.

Any help would be highly appreciated. Thanks.

EDIT: I have recently updated via official OTA. That might be the cause. Any idea on how to factory reset it?

YET ANOTHER EDIT: Seems like the issue was overheating. I let it cool for a minute or two and it works perfectly now.

Besides trying to figure out what IPTV service provider to use I am experiencing technical oddities. So I got a Formuler GTV and hooked it up into my Sony AVR. Using the same service provider using M3u link into tivimate and also into mytvonline2 apps. The tivimate one does not seem to let through 5.1 sound whereas mytvonline2 does... exact same movie by exact same provider. So it seems depending on what app I use on the box I may or may not get 5.1 sound (if the source has it of course). The GTV box does not seem to allow RAW/Passthrough of the sound to let my AVR handle all of that instead of the box... I think this may fix the issue but not sure... so I think I will dump the GTV and get Nvidia TV instead... anyone have experience with this kind of thing and think that will fix it? Also, using the Amazon Prime app on the GTV, when the content played is 4k HDR it comes out very washed out image in TV... my TV and AVR can handle HD10+ and Dolby Vision etc... so I don't know why this is happening either. My Firestick is in the same AVR and the image is just fine. I have been at this now for about 12 hours over the last couple of days and ready just to take advice on what is the best thing to do. I don't like the Smarters app interface. So looking for one that works on Nvidia Shield TV, good interface, process HD/FHD/UHD image and 5.1 sound etc correctly. And recommendations of a good content provider of live (mainly uk) and vod (in English and big choice) to stream FHD/UHD.

Looks like the only option is Ambient mode? I have Photo Gallery and Screensaver running as screensaver on my Shield 2017.

If you do the same we might get it fixed in the next update. The more tickets they receive the more attention they will pay to us.

I just bought a Dolby Atmos set up and have my CCwGTV plugged directly in to it. I can only trigger 5.1. I spoke with Netflix and they said Atmos is not available on that device yet. Is that true? Is anyone using Netflix with Atmos from CCwGTV?

Is there a way I can downgrade from AndroidTV 10 to AndroidTV 9 on my set-top-box. I've run into a problem with the EXO Player and sadly there is a problem on AndroidTV 10 that causes it.

I installed the Android 12 developer preview on my AskeyADT-3 yesterday to check out the features and any new services. After I was done I then installed the Google TV preview. Pretty swish UI.

Now today I've gone to flash the OS back to Android 11 using the stock ADT-3 image with the usual flash-all script.

After flashing and on re-booting the device, the Android 11 splash logo displays, but I simply cannot get it into the bootloader or fastboot. Holding down the button before power does nothing, and on powering up and connecting to a PC it connects and disconnects within a second.

I tried sending adb reboot bootloader/fastboot cmds in the brief time it connects to the PC but no success here.

Does anyone have any ideas or is my ADT-3 broken? I opened up the device and there's a 3 pin port but of course I don't have the kit to make use of it. The chip is an Amlogic S905Y2.
