Android users should learn to punish low quality apps until fixed. Many devs treat Android users as second class citizens when the same dev release top class for iOS.
HBO Max and YouTube are web apps and from performance and UI stand points are horrendous. HBO Max is just a webpage.
When you go deep down and look for technical accuracy for a/v playback, android tv is really an inconsistent disappointment.
Now we just need to get Youtube to add a restart button (before the video ends).
How about a disable auto-play button?
No excuse ever for taking away the restart button!
It's a mystery why for 5.1, HBO MAX is using Dolby Digital as opposed to DD+, at least on Android? That might be the problem as far as getting Atmos?
I just know I'd love to be able to watch the limited 4k/DV/Atmos programming they have in Atmos!
It's still a laggy fucking app on the shield. 🙄
