There seems to be a bug with the BBC iPlayer Android TV app, on the Chromecast with Google TV, caused by some kind of conflict when granting accessibility access to other apps which use the remote.

BBC iPlayer will freeze upon opening and is unresponsive when pressing navigation buttons on the remote. The app will then crash and close, after a few button presses.

The issue has arisen for me personally when I installed the Dashboard app. I uninstalled the Dashboard app, and BBC iPlayer works fine again.

Others on Twitter have noted that the Button Mapper app causes the same issue.

Has anyone else had the same issue, when similar remote apps have been granted accessibility access?
