So I have roku streaming stick, and it has amazing colors when I am consuming content from it, TV's picture mode settings works as well (HDR, Movie, etc.), however this setting does not work when I launch apps from my default android tv, no setting in picture settings work other than brightness. Can anyone assist? It has way worse colors than roku.

My sibling has a mi Tv (don't know the exact model but it's about 4 years old). Its a smart tv but it you can't install Netflix on it (surprisingly it does support prime). I know you can just sideload Netflix on it but I want to gift him a fire stick. Is it worth it and would it work with a mi Tv? On googling I can also see a mi stick but don't know much about it. Looking for advice.

Whenever I cast my screen to my Android TV it works, but then ends after a few seconds. I have no clue what's going on and it's fricking annoying, any advice/help would be appreciated.

Our Sony Bravia XBR65X850F was fine when it had Google TV. I like to not update the software often to prevent software breakage issues that can happen with updating. Well I decided to update and it updated to Android TV. It says android version 9 now. Before it had 8. After updating to 9, my tv shows “android tv” and has these colorful circle things spinning when you turn the tv on. Then it will either shut off and I have to turn it back on.

Other times when I go to watch tv, it wont turn on at all from the remote. I have to keep hitting the power button on the remote to get it to finally respond. It didnt do this before updating to android 9.

Whats going on? My tv is in warranty via extended warranty.

I tried doing a factory reset as sony suggested but same issue.

So I am wondering if there is a way to map the Netflix button on the remote to switch to HDMI 3 on my tv. Button Mapper does recognize the button but I am not seeing a way to map it to an HDMI.

Any thoughts or is this just not possible.

So the problem is when I open the app I go to network then I try to add my Google drive but when I try to sign in it says sign in with a supported browser I made sure java script is enabled on Chrome I even tried a different browser but got the same error

All applications have a touchpad but they use it as a gesture recognizer instead of the left and right arrow buttons.

Hey everyone, I've been trying to remap the "Input" button (bottom right) of my Chromecast TV remote. I have no use for switching inputs and want it to turn on my projector (the power button turns on my amp).

I've seen numerous posts around talking about "Button Mapper", however the app fails to recognize the Input button (let alone map it to a power IR signal for projector).

Anyone have any ideas?

Hello everyone, I connect logitech z506 via converter through optical cable.

The problem is only sony stock player can play 5.1ch audio but other 3rd party apps like Mx player, Vlc, Netflix, Amazon & Jellyfin play audio in stereo mode on all 5 speakers.

Same thing happened when i connect z906 only stock player passthrough the dts & console light turn on.

Also what does Subwoofer options for in Audio output setting?

Coz when i turn it on z906 produce extra bass but i am not sure whether it's originally intended to.

& isn't Audio Variable option in audio output should change volume via Tv remote also affect on speaker also? Coz mine won't change on both speakers system.

I have a TCL 7120X and i moved to Japan. My wife is Japanese but there is no way to select Japanese for subtitles. Is there a way to add languages to TCL andriod TVs? By now this should be a option.

Hi-anyone having/had a good experience with syncler on tivo stream? I'm not. Quits a lot despite all other apps closed. Works fine on my firestick 4k, though, which has pretty similar hardware, at least ram-wise. Any advice or insight would be appreciated. Except for "buy a shield", lol. I know that would solve everything.

I have both NVIDIA Shield Pro 2019, CCwGTV and Firestick 4K. I play quite a few work videos (low resolution 720p 30 fps training videos) and my Samsung QN90A is the best upscaler for those. But if I use Shield or Firestick 4K, they all try to upscale 720p to 4K and none of them come close (even AI upscaler on Shield) to QN90A. I see Plex can preserve resolution and my QN90A reports it’s receiving original resolution. But my work videos are not on plex. I am simply using Airplay via Airpin pro. It has support for external video player. But Mx player pro, VLC, even Kodi built in video player, none of them seem to pass through 720p. My Samsung QN90A reports it’s getting 4K (Kodi can match refresh rate to 30 fps, but not the resolution) and video again looks bad. I can force firestick 4K to 720p and then get the desired behavior. But then I have to switch for each video. And videos are mixed with various resolutions.

I just bought the new Xiaomi 4K and it is fast and snappy. It just has one annoying issue. The audio volume seemingly goes up and down on it’s own. It is not the TV volume because there is no dispaly on the screen. I need to keep manually adjusting the volume which is annoying. Anyone else experiencing this?

Hey guys I'm using android tv. While watching movies an action movie dialogue goes so low I can't hear it. There is a feature in apple tv that can fix that called reduce loud sound option. There is any way to get that feature on android tv.

So my device is a google Chromecast. Normally you can turn off restricted mode from your profile pic, at least on the PC. There does not appear to be a setting in SmartTube to do this on the chromecast. I have 14.36 version

I’ve formatted the stick to ntfs, which works fine on the box and comes up as readable. I tried moving my kodi over to the flash drive , but there aren’t any options for it. Also, tried moving my files in my kodi library to the stick and everything fails. Is there any way to make my flash drive writable on the box or is my only option to do it on a pc. I specifically use kodi for reasons, and I Don’t want to download shows and movies to my flash drive because I like when they update automatically in my kodi library without me downloading anything. All I want is for kodi (or the movie/tv paths)to be moved to the flash drive because they took up pretty much all the space on the box and I kept getting Low storage . I really don’t want to use my laptop or anything else.

Trying to get rid of ads for Youtube when we cast from our phone to our TV, my son doesn't want a PiHole and I don't want to buy Youtube Premium. I currently use an old-school Chromecast now on a Samsung Smart TV.

What's the cheapest or most effective solution for this? Do I need to buy external storage for the Onn or Chromecast with Google TV? Does the Onn have Walmart quality and is there a noticeable difference vs. the Chromecast?

Our ultimate goal is to be able to stream videos from our phones to the TV without annoying ads playing, is there a way to do that? (I heard of people just using the history function on SmartTube but we don't want to do that)
