So I'm stupid and unpaired my tv remote and idk how to put it into bluetooth pairing mode to fix it HELLPPP

I really don’t like the remote that comes with my TV. I don’t need all unnecessary extra buttons, remote only works when pointed at the TV and unobstructed, and buttons themselves are mushy.

I tried the ShieldTV for for a bit and while the TV box itself is a bit more responsive, I’m pretty sure the remote is 90% the reason why I like it.

I’m returning the Shield TV because I don’t need gaming capabilities and spent a bit too much on it for what I use it for. But I’m hoping I could find something similar to a shield TV remote.

I tried using the shield TV remote itself on my built-in android tv but the remote isn’t optimized for it. For example, the Netflix and quick settings buttons don’t work.

My previous TV had voice control on the remote. When buying our new TV we didn't think it was an important feature but it turns out we miss the microphone in the remote a lot more than we thought we would.

Does anyone know whether a Philips remote with microphone (for a different model TV) would work on our TV? The software is clearly open to voice control - when we press the "search" button on the remote it even expects voice input - but I have no idea about compatibility.

Any experience with this?

In the YouTube app that's pre-installed on the Chromecast (the one with Google/AndroidTV included), a video will sometimes prematurely end.

I'll be logged into my Google account through the main interface. I open the YouTube app and click on a video. The video will play normally for about 10 seconds before the sound begins to gradually fade out. After the volume has hit 0, the end-screen appears with the countdown for the next auto-play video.

The annoying thing is that this often happens when playing a recommended video and when I hit the back button, I'm presented with new videos.

I've re-started the app and the Chromecast. Any reasons why this might be happening?

Today I bought an android tv and it has the google assistent. When I ask it to play something on Netflix or prime it works but when I ask it to play something on Disney plus or HBO max it just returns information about the show and the suggestion to install the Disney plus/HBO max app even though they are already installed and I'm logged in. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

Hmm I'm Chinese and I'm simply asking if I can bypass the block on my Chinese Android TV set by manufacturers. I just want to install Microsoft Edge, and maybe Twitter and YouTube too.

I've tried to install apps from .apk files on a USB drive but failed, getting a prompt saying "installing has been disabled according to national laws" that sort of thing.

Then I tried to connect to ADB ( Android Debugging Bridge ) on my PC via Wi-Fi but failed too, the error message saying the device ( my TV ) is unauthorized/unauthenticated. I used Wi-Fi instead of USB connection because my PC is too far from my TV and I don't have a long USB cable.

So please, be kind and tell me is there any way I can install those apps on my Chinese TV. Thanks!

Edit: I have the ADB function turned on on my TV, at least that's what I think. IDK if the manufacturer have disabled ADB completely.

so my question is can i load the games just on USB and play it through USB. what's the need to transfer the iso files on the android tv? if it is necessary can you tell me the reasons pleas. and if i play games with USB then the game progress will be saved or not? and if i load it on internal memory of android tv would the game progress will get saved?

Every time a new subtitle is displayed, the video on my Philips 55OLED803 with Kodi v19.4 stutters slightly. VLC has the same problem. With subtitles disabled, everything is smooth. Only MX Player Pro does not have this issue, but nowadays, MX Player Pro crashes with a white screen when starting a movie. Anyone experienced this issues, has a solution, or another player to try?

I am still unable to resolve the microphone error with my Sony X80H. I have attached Logitech C920 to the blue USB3.0 port on my TV. When making calls with Google Duo , the picked up video image is blur and larger (video is clear with proper size in another app Trueconf). As for sound pickup, Google Duo shows error that microphone is not available (in use by other app) when I try to make a. call.

TV firmware (Android 9) and Google Duo are latest versions. USB mode is set to media transfer(MTP) and USB audio routing enabled in Developer options.

On Android, you can change the font size system wide. Why can't we do that on Android TV? I'm often not wearing my glasses at night and I'm having to squint to try the navigate my CCwGTV. Have resorted to using my phone and just Casting it but I'd prefer to use the TV apps.

What has anyone found that is the most forward way to share files(apks, movies and such) between a android phone and the onn UHD box.?

Hello, I recently had bought a google tv and set it up on the google home app that was linked to an address in the states. Recently I had gotten access to Crave, so I was looking to download Crave and Bell apps. I've tried everything, change the location of my google account, new payment info, even tried changing the language to English (Canada) because I read that work with no success. Whenever I go to install the Crave app it says that this device is not supported, and when I go to install Bell Fibe TV it says this app isn't available in your country. My brother who also has a Google TV and is on the same Android TV version is having no issues. Any help?

I love my chromecast with GoogleTV, I like the interface, the suggestions, but the apps have problems, and they don't get fixed!

1. Prime video if you watch anything in UHD, it leaves the chromecast stuck on UHD and you have to reboot it to get back to normal. It has done this for a LONG time, it's clearly never getting fixed.
2. Paramount+ when you watch DolbyVision shows, 50% of the time it gets jacked up when trying to switch to DolbyVision, stopping the episode and starting again will sometimes fix it, but sometimes you have to reboot. BTW this was also true with CBS all access, so it's done this for a LONG time
3. AppleTV+ (ya I know) this app somehow causes my TV to reboot, it used to crash on DolbyVision content, so its better now?

As much as I hate to admit defeat, I just bought an AppleTV 4K, it's apps actually work. I realize this is not google's fault, they don't write the 3rd party apps, but if the third party companies can't make apps that work, then it's not useful to me.

So my TV stick is stuck at black "MI" logo screen.
And the weird issue, at least weird for me is that if I plug it into power after days of not using it.
The MI logo screen comes up instantly with pluging in the power.
It looks like the stick is in suspended state and it gives picture instantly with the power being plugged in.
I cant reset it by holding "ok" and "back" buttons to get into bootloader because the stick doesnt boot even for a secoond. Just "MI" logo screen instantly with power plugged.

Anyone had similar issue?
Is there some kind of way to reset it or at least cause it to purge the memory or something like that. Shortcircuit something or something similar...

When I cast from Chrome on my laptop to my Hisense U6G TV, the content is still mirrored on my laptop. Is there a way to disable the laptop screen when casting so the content only displays on the TV?
