I have a TCL C7006 TV that has Android TV built-in. There is a Movies Anywhere app, however, I do not see it in the store. How can I install this app on my TV?

Update: I have solved my problem. Rather than look for Movies Anywhere app to install on the TV, I logged into Movies Anywhere via web and connected it to my Google account. Now, in the Google Play Movies and TV app on the TV I see my Movies Anywhere movies.

Over the past couple of weeks I've been trying to find the perfect single streaming box for the UK market and I'm convinced it doesn't exist.

The Nvidia shield lacks All 4, Apple TV Plus and Now TV streaming apps. Plus it can't do HDR for YouTube and Google Play Movies

Mi Box S lacks all the UK streaming apps other than ITV Hub

Apple TV can't take advantage of UHD from the BBC nor can it do HDR or 4K on YouTube.

Amazon Fire TV 4K is missing Now TV and doesn't do Dolby vision for Apple TV plus content.

Roku perhaps has all the apps but it doesn't support Dolby vision

My B7 LG OLED lacks Apple TV plus but has all the other apps and supports BBC UHD and YouTube 4K.

Each option has a disadvantage, which leads me to just sticking with the built in apps

The fire TV looked so close but I'm also put off by the interface and all the ads.

I want Android TV to be the one but it seems the worst sorted in the UK.

Sorry this has become a bit of a rant. Perhaps sometime has a great setup they can advise on in the UK

I have a tv box and it’s model says MBOX and the version is 6.0.1 How do you make the navigation bar at the bottom reappear? I just hit the arrow on the left to make it disappear and it showed a message on how to make it reappear but it was too fast so I could read it

Anyone have issues with this? Side loaded Chrome, but when I go to enter an address the voice box pops up. If I try to move over to the search box to type, it disappears. If i speak in to the remote, nothing happens.

I am considering buying a Shield TV Pro, but only if it can act like a NAS (for one user) by sharing an external drive to the network using SMB. And do this in a reliable manner; I've read several posts about the older model would need to be rebooted often because the Samba service would crash or freeze. I would also use this to watch occasional movie and play some casual games. Do any of you use your Shield TV Pro to share files off of an external hard drive? How is it working out for you?

I just got a Sony TV with Android TV, and as much as I like the picture the TV produces , it's a fucking mess. It is slow to respond, volume control works in the weirdest way - it goes from 17-21-25-28-32 and so on, and it doesn't even display as soon as you start turning it up/down. The apps are very slow to respond and there isn't even a native browser... It's such a mess..

I had an LG that worked blazing fast, but unfortunately the pixels on the panel would keep burning , and I got this hot mess on my hands now, have a few more days to return it and I dunno if I should...

Has anyone tried playing 4K Dolby Vision remux in PLEX on the 2019 Shield TV series?

Looking for verification that it works before buying.

I have a TCL 4k Android TV. I have the prime video app installed from the official play store, and yet the HDR content never plays in 4k, only in 1080p HD. Any ideas?

I've a stock Android 9.0 tv, the issue is having to deal with 2 remotes in 2019. Is there a way to deal with the set-up box channels inside the Android ui or make one remote do it all? Both tv and set-up box remotes are ir based. How do you guys deal with this?

I have a JBL Link Bar, which I do like except for the fact that it’s kind of sluggish. I am thinking about upgrading to a new Shield TV, but want to make sure I can still yell “Hey Google, we want the meatloaf” from across the room.

I recently bought a 65" Hisense Android TV from a certain electronics chain (think blue shirts and yellow tags). Today I went to register the TV on their website while on my lunch hour at work, and realized I didn't know the exact model number. Since the website has a chat feature I asked the rep to look up the model via the serial number. At this point I was told that the registration system on the portal is broken. So even though it says you've successfully registered your TV you actually have not, and will not be able to use your 1 year warranty if needed! The only way to successfully register Hisense TVs is by directly contacting Hisense via phone. The portal does not ask for the receipt, but you actually will need your receipt to register the TV (which makes sense when you think about it).

All-in-all I am not very confident in Hisense as a company, and now I'm even suspect on whether their Android TVs will receive timely updates.

I was watching some reviews online of Nvidia Shield/Pro and I can't tell if it's my screen or the video, but the interface looks a little less snappy than my current 1st gen FireTV. Mainly would like to go with Shield for the ease of deploying Kodi but I've been pretty happy with the FireTV interface and not sure I want to sacrifice that experienece. Thanks

Does anyone know if the AI upscaling works on a 1080P display. If for instance I watch a 720p stream on youtube tv will it upscale it to 1080p?
