Sideload Launcher For ANDROID TV you will need to have Sideload Launcher install first, you can find it in the Google Play Store for Android TV on your device. You would then see and be able to run side load Apps from the Sideload Launcher app.

: :

Set Orientation v1.1.4 https://www.mediafire.com/file/74xbhz951p5byhm/SetOrientation-1.1.4_A2ZAPK.COM.apk/file once you install this APP. You can find and run it in the Sideload Launcher open run Set Orientation from the drop down menu arrow in the app pointing down select "Landscape" then click OK. After that you should never need to mess with it again make sure you select "Landscape" and click OK.

While you can force any application into any orientation, not all applications will work correctly in all orientations.

Which wireless gamepad controllers are compatible with Sony Android TV?

Sony mentions Logitech and a couple of unsupported gamepads that "may work", but their link offering further updates is no good.

Anyone know of a list of gamepads that will work with the newer Sony Android TV?

Just purchased a Phillips Android TV. Having a few minor issues and thought someone here could help.

Issue #1: when I downloaded and paired the android remote app, it has glitches when using the keyboard (inserting letters I didnt type and wont let me erase them) and it also causes my physical TV remote to stop responding completely.

Issue #2: the amazon prime video app says it's not compatible with this specific android TV but I can cast from the Amazon prime video app on my phone by hitting the little cast icon at the bottom of the phone app... this works for a little bit but eventually hits a buffer that just stays buffering forever... like the app crashes or something... it's not a bandwidth problem because I'm pulling in a steady 100mbps with at&t fiber. I'm noticing other apps having minor buffer issues but I'm almost certain it's not my wifi because my other TVs have played fine for the past 3 years on this same setup. Any ideas?

Any help would be much appreciated because this is my first Android TV and I really think its cool... if I can iron out these few kinks it would be awesome.

Best Android Hardware for Disney+

Hi All,

Full disclaimer, i'm not from the US, i'm from a tiny island nobody cares about (Malta). I have finally managed to get Disney+ working with SmartDNS of VPN unlimited. Works great on my Samsung TV. But unfortunately my Mum's Panasonic doesn't support Disney Plus as an app. So I tried installing it on an android box (one of those cheap china ones - high spec mind you). It works but I get no picture, audio only. Anyways I realize maybe it's time to upgrade. I was doing some research and saw alot of posts with Xiaomi MiBox S and Fire Stick 4k. I was tempted by either one of those, but i'm afraid I will waste my money, since i'm not in the US. I don't need this for anything else except for Disney+. Please let me know if this is against the rules

32bit limitation of Nvidia Shield Tube a factor for Apps of tomorrow?

I'm slowly upgrading my living room entertainment area with a new TV, new AV receiver, and new streamer. The Mi Box I have now has been working great for over three years but I want atmos and dolby vision and HDR10 to work well so I'm looking at the 2019 version of the shield.

I won't be playing games with it. Absolutely none at all. No dolphin emulator either. So as of today, the tube which is 32bit only would work for me.

Need opinions here. Do you think Google is going to limit apps to 64bit in the future? I know Apple has already done it with the iphone apps. Because if they do, the tube will be a dead unit.

I also read the tube doesn't work well with Plex and 4k files. People saying it crashes a lot because Plex needs 64bit to work well. I don't know how true that is though. I use plex a lot. I have my own server and have a library of about 1000 movies and about 6000 TV episodes. In my house it's either YouTube TV or Plex for our viewing needs.

Running 3d game on Mibox s2

Hi all, so I'm trying to install apk of a game, everything went good but when I open the app I see a pink screen.

After further investigation is seems that the problem is that the game that utilize Open gl 3 which is not supported by my Mibox S (support up to open gl2).

I wonder if there's a way to bypass/bridge that using and apk or flashing the ROM.

Thanks for any help!

Help with replacing my Western Digital TV Live Boxes - yes I know this has been asked before!!

OK, I know this topic has been covered in depth for years. I have researched every forum imaginable and read what many have said but I still find my questions not answered so I am trying here. I have a few Western Digital TV Lives. They work great, I just can’t play x265 content and they don’t support PLEX. So I am in need of a replacement.

Here is my issue. I don’t stream. I play my content off of external USB hard drives connected to my WDTV boxes. This is my preferred method and I don’t want to change how I view my content.

My issue with Android boxes is my inability to easily transfer files via my network to the external hard drives once they are connected to the Android box. My WDTV boxes show up on my network and I can just drag and drop content via windows explorer. I can’t seem to get that to work with an android box. (I have a KDLINKS android box currently) I have looked at OSMC Vero 4K which is a Linux based box but it looks like it has the same file transfer issues.

So is there a box out there that is a direct plug and play replacement for my WDTV boxes?

TLDR: Is there a box that has easy windows file transfer to connected USB drives via my network?

Looking for h.264 hi10 compatibility, what android tv box should I consider?

What I need is h.264 and h.265 codecs mainly for anime series, and one or two 3.0 usb ports for HDs, planning to get a 10 Tb to put all my video files in one place, I was going to get the mi box 4k on amazon us. but saw mixed reviews so decided to come here for suggestions, I will use it mainly for playing files from the hard drive and occasionally stream 4k content. So should I get the mi box or what other android box should I consider buying? Thanks for reading.

Why does this sub love to hate on the mi box (and mi box s)

Really. I have a mi box s and it's been one of the best purchases I've ever made. Perfect budget device. Almost a third of the price to the next good alternative (shield tv).

Full HD streaming works great. Interface is clean and snappy. Hardly face any hiccups.

Yes there are a few bugs here and there, and updates take their time. Storage and RAM may not be the best but what else does one want for streaming on a TV. In the end, it's a budget device. And for me this has been the perfect successor to my first gen chromecast.
