After playing, music, youtube, netflix on my google TV, after a while it will flicker black, show the Dolby Vision icon in the right corner then go to a green screen. Anyone know what is happening, and how to solve?

After installing the new Google TV app on my phone, I proceed to connect all the services. I own (Hulu, Netflix, Amazon Videos, etc), but as soon as I complete the connection, they don't remain connected. If I go to Manage Services again, the only one checkmark is Netflix, the rest are unchecked as if I never selected them.

Any clues?

I have tried other browsers including sideloading opera but that requiers me to onstall it evry time i whant to use it

Hi. Got a Problem. I found here a post regarding this free app to have add free YouTube. I enabled the posibility to install 3rd party apps. But when i try i get the error that it could not be installed. Got a Phillips with Android 7.0 in it. I have installed 3rd party apps before but all was good... this time not... do i miss something? Please help Cheers

Picked up a GoogleTV and during the setup it wanted to get details of my TV and receiver etc. I use a medion tv in the bedroom (cheap Aldi set) and it isn't in the list.

Any ideas on my options?

I just got a hisense 32 inch android tv and I have attempted to sideload the Great Courses Plus app from my phone onto the TV. After installing "Set Orientation" I was able to get the app to load in full screen and it's sort of workable. However, I am unable to load any of the videos from the app and loading one immediately crashes the app back to the home screen. Does anyone know of any work arounds that might help me get this app working besides Chromecasting to the device? Thanks for any help anyone can offer.

Can't seem to disable ambient display via settings. I guess the Twitch app needs an update to fix perhaps?

Need to know this as firetv and roku have a way to browse their apps online without needing to use the streamer on the tv or switch countries/regions. But when i go to google play store, it doesnt say if app has androidtv compatibility, only mobile downloads. Why doesnt ATV have a separate store or a way to know about ATV app list?

So I've been trying to figure out this problem the whole night and dont hve a solution so far. I paired my WH-1000MX3 with new device no problem. However once i turn off my headphones and turning them back on leaves me with no sound at all. I get the notification from the headphones that they connected successfully, but the sound will continue come from the TV.

Any advice?

I only use like 4 services. Netflix, HBO Max, Plex, Disney+. But the only one that shows up in the continue watching feed is HBO Max.

So i bought an android tv and when i went into Device preferences, i couldn't find accessibility menu anywhere. I searched it in all the menu's in settings. i updated all apps and cleared data of apps and restarted the tv several times. I even factory resetted the Tv

today I get my new Chromecast and I was wondering that's not possible to turn Soundbar and TV on/off over IR Signal. Only the one or the other is possible in settings.

Did anyone have a solution to this problem?

I know the shield works great with plex, I use one on my main tv. But I dont need that much for my bedroom tv. All I need is something with good wifi, or a (preferably over 100mbps) ethernet jack, that can pass dolby digital or dts 5.1 to my tv which will then send it over toslink to my old 2004 avr in the bedroom. Also needs to be able to play 4k remuxes, but most of mine top out around 60mbps so yeah. If I *needed* lossless audio sure id get a shield but this avr only supports 5.1 lossy or 2.0pcm

I just am not sure what to do that costs less than a shield.

I see this behavior both in the new Google TV app for android and casting to the new Google TV Chromecast from the Google TV app for Android. More specifically, the movie Inception looks squished, everyone is shorter than they should be and the black bars are massive. I see it in the movie Dredd as well, but not Idiocracy.

Has anyone seen this before? Is there any way to fix it?

Does file sharing work on VLC on Chromecast with Android TV? I want to watch my downloaded shows off my computer.

Not a huge deal...sound works when I cast from phone but the whole point i got thjs was to avoid having to use my phone. I tried the troubleshooting steps and it doesn't work. Multiple people are having thjs problem so it's clearly an app issue that needs to be fixed.

I bought a new chromecast with google tv yesterday. I own a vizio p55 TV. I'm not able to get get HDR or dolby vision to work on any apps. I've tried different HDMI ports, enable/disable content matching and TV input HDR setting is on. Any suggestions on what is wrong? My TV and nvidia shield apps worked well with HDR.

Has someone an idea how I could run two youtube apps (with different users logged in) at the same time?

My problem is that I use different profiles for youtube and youtube music because I don't want my music to get mixed up with the normal youtube stuff. But therefore if I click an YouTube normally (even on the new music icon) I get music matching the likes on my normal account, that has nothing to do with my music preferences at all.

I would need to believe that both Aquaman and Alita 4K movies are "corrupted" or badly encoded or something on Google Movies... I have other 4K movies that work perfectly fine on the same Google TV...

Anyone else ever experience anything like this??

Did anyone get an update for Android 9 for their MiBox 3? I got the update and when it booted up for the first time. Recovery Mode came on. So I choose the reboot option than I choose to factory reboot it. and When I install all the programs back on. Some things did not work. Kodi all the movie images were blank or incorrect. Mobdro would not open the stream.

So I was watching a couple things on my Plex server while testing out the refresh rates. I turned on Back to the Future to test out the 24p. I went to see what the refresh of the tv was set to and it was at 60p, not 24p. To this I have to say I need to see an update to this because the main reason to me picking up this dongle was to get rid of needing an xbox in my home theater room. Now that I found this info out, I will have to switch back to my xbox until an update has been issued. In the settings currently there is an option to match contents hdr/dolby vision/sdr but not the refresh of the show.
