How come the new Chromecast/Google TV doesn't show "continue watching" for anything but HBO Max?

by ArkAngel06

I only use like 4 services. Netflix, HBO Max, Plex, Disney+. But the only one that shows up in the continue watching feed is HBO Max.

Kinda useless isn't it?

Physicallykrisp

Only Netflix for me

mindoversoul

I get Netflix and YouTube TV, and nothing else. I haven't seen HBO Max on it once so far.

lament

Works with Netflix for me (I'm in the US). Doesn't work with Prime.

ArkAngel06

So the general consensus from the comments here are that this feature just does not work well at all.

PancakeSophie

Only Netflix for me too, however only shows 2 shows/movies for me :/

I can't get watched HBO Max stuff to go away. I'm tired of watching the trailer for The Witches.

gwrapps

Only HBO max for me too. Frustrating.

stevekenney318

I get YTTV, HBO Max, and Netflix in 'Continue watching'.

ZombieLeftist

It's been that way on the old AndroidTV from day one too.

akisnet

I am Netflix, HBO Max, Hulu and I get only Netflix.

Ali_Reza3

Yea only Netflix for me

solitaryjim

I have seen it on Max, YouTube TV, and Disney, but only sporadically. Like it decides for you which one you want to continue watching. YouTube TV seems to be the most prevalent, which is annoying because I don't care anything about the many episodes of Pioneer Woman my wife has started and not finished.

pawdog

I'm getting a good mix, Play Movies, YTTV, CBS All Access,Netflix, HBO Max.

sardasert

Or only shows twitch for me. I own netflix, prime and some other locals.

scottISdead

All those services show for me. And Showtime, Starz, and Epix.

jwC731

I only get netflix , wish it atleast did hulu too

Honza368

You're lucky. I haven't seen any on there.

melmo4

I subscribe to every major service and have tested watching a show from every app. They are all checked under “my services” in settings and linked in google home app. I don’t even have a continue watching row listed at all! I know you have to launch the show from the google interface or watch list not the app itself. I also know not every service is integrated yet but I should at the very least be seeing YouTube, HBO MAX or Netflix. Nope nothing. I know if you have the new google tv app that may have something to do with it but it’s not available on iPhone yet

vriesema12

I'm pretty sure continue watching it only works if you launch the show from the Google TV interface.

username100000001

I get Stan (AU subscription)

j0llygruntt

Works with ESPN+ and YouTube for me.

HairyHuevos

Just open each app and you'll have continue watching. On the main dashboard if it's not showing there I'm sure it'll eventually.

DanGMI86

Netflix only, not Prime or Hulu, haven't tried YouTube.

LinkofHyrule

I'm hoping the continue watching and now episode features are expanded for Google TV I haven't seen it at all so far. I also need Google TV to get support for VRV and Funimation since I use those a ton. If you have those services please email them asking for support!
