Looking to purchase new home and add doorbell and cameras. Anyone have any feedback on the Nest cameras on Android TV and how they work together? Would you get a pop up or notification when the doorbell rings?

Hello everyone, I recently purchased a TV (TCL 55 "P8M) and through the TCL app (Magic Connect) I was able to take screenshots of the TV and share on social networks through the smarphone, however, the TV received an update and does not take more printscreen of any program, like IPTV, among others, it takes printscreen only of buttons and menus that are superimposed on videos. I know that on Netflix it was not possible, but in any and all video app? I think this is a huge slut, I tried everything , I installed another app and I couldn't, I changed the settings and permissions and nothing yet ... do I have to root the TV to get it? Is there any other way?

I'm wanting to use the "Refresh Rate" app, to remap my TV remotes home button to the home button for Google TV. I was able to do this on Nvidia Shield and it worked perfectly. However, doing this requires you to enable Network Debugging. Chromecast with Google TV has no option for Network Debugging. What can I do?

I used TuneIn Radio, but they stopped update the database. Any other app that has support for remote control only,without mouse?

Just hooked up my gtv last night and it has been plagued with issues. Just FYI. I have a roku ultra, fire tv 2nd generation box and nvidia shield, hooked up to the same denon avr and LG 4k tv. They all work fine with none of the following issues.

1. Won't recognize my 4k tv, top resolution available is 1080p

2. Disney+ doesn't work. Get error code 39 whenever I try to play a title.

3. Prime video doesn't work. Gives me an hdmi connection error message.

This is what I have found, so far. Crave tv works, which makes me wonder if Disney and Amazon issues are geolocation related. My primary Google account was originally setup in the USA, that's the account all my YouTube and assistant is connected to. I have a secondary Canadian account that I use, strictly for getting Canadian apps. This works fine on shield tv, just have to switch accounts in the store when getting apps. I have changed my primary account to the Canadian one, but, it hasn't resolved the issues.

The ui looks nice and it's pretty snappy. Wish the theater control was hdmi-cec, like the shield, so you don't have to point for ir control.

Any Canadians out there having the same issues?

With only one opened app after fresh start i can say is "OK"

I am looking to buy an android TV. Hisense is much cheaper but I have read some horrible reviews of it being very buggy and sluggish when using the apps.

Sony seems much better in build quality and picture quality but it's almost $250 more expensive. Also is this model the latest Sony android tv model?

On these android TVs can I download games from the google play store and play them using a Bluetooth controller. I do understand it won't run high graphic games but I am looking for casual gaming.

Anyone who has purchased either Hisense or Sony Android tv, can you please share your experience or any advice you might have?

I put the android 8.1 ISO on a pendrive and made it booteable, however, i enter on the menu of the tv and click on "start from pendrive" (or something, my english could be baaad) right now the red light is intermitent, and the tv still with black screen. i tried restarting and disconecting the tv but it doesnt work

I have a TCL 40S6500 already and I'm looking for an upgrade to a 4K TV. Most reviews I found about the C715 are paid reviews, so they only say good stuff about the TV and no cons...

I saw somewhere that when watching a 4K video on youtube, the TV doesn't change to 4K mode (like showing the resolution change on the corner) and Kodi reporting 1920x1080 on the resolution info.

Hi, So Netflix on android tv was working fine until last 2 days

I have 2 Philips PUS8303 both have downgraded resolution these last 2 days

Network is fine, its 500 down and 20 up

Network test on tv shows 460-480(wifi) cannot get it wired

Netflix speed test shows 110-130Mbps but runs videos with 0.21mbps / 480 or 540

Tried this on both TVs, Tried this with different networks, tried this with mobile data all with the same result of 0.21mbps/480 or 540

I set up the Netflix profile to highest, restarted TVs, uninstalled updates on Netflix, reinstalled them, cleared cache, cleared data, logged out, restarted router, checked with Netflix support they say just do the steps they provide (nothing changed) cheeked with ISP everything is fine,

Netflix on Mobile, Laptop, Pc is fine as usual with usual resolutions 720p and 1080p

I gave up now so im coming here to ask you guys if anyone has an idea.

Anyone have chromecast google tv set up with external storage? I seem to have a problem when trying to add a flash drive 64GB or higher. It doesn't not read it, just comes up 'safely ejected' in storage settings. Not sure if it's an issue with the hub I bought or if it's the chromast that doesn't support 64GB drives or higher? ( Tried a few flash drives and works fine with 32GB)

Hi there, I'm currently looking for any suggestions on an Android TV Box that can play 4k remuxes off an external USB hard drive. I've been looking at the Mi Box S but don't know if there are any cheaper alternatives.

I don't really care if it supports Netflix or anything else in 4K, I just want a box that can play high bitrate 4k off a USB.

HDMI CEC is full enabled and all functions work, expect that the LG TV won't turn off. It turn on, and I can control the Mi Stick over LG RC but once I turn the Mi Stick off, TV will stay on with "no signal". (I don't know the exact model of the TV.)

I have a sony x750h android tv. Is there anyway to chose hd 1080p instead of uhd. When using netflix or amazon? Uhd fine for movies but not good when binging series. Especially with kids doing distant learning. Stupid Comcast terabyte data limit. Netflix and amazon android tv apps have zero options for this.
