Hello.
I am the developer of "EasyJoin Go TV". (https://redd.it/jog00b/)
Before posting I asked and obtained the permission of the moderators of the sub and I hope not to bother you with this post.
You can use this app to share files between Android devices (phone, tablet, TV) and computers, using only the local network or a hotspot.
You can get it from Play Store (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.easyjoin.tv)
In a nutshell:
• Connect: easily connect your devices using only your local network without the mandatory use of external servers. Without ads and tracking. Your data stays in your devices.
• Files and folders: send to PC and mobile devices files and folders fast, accurate and without limitations. Take advantage of all the bandwidth of your network and safeguard your data plan and internet bandwidth.
• Android TV, phone and tablet: the app interface automatically adapts to the device, offering the best graphical interface and navigability.
• Safety: end-to-end encryption when you transfer files.
• Privacy policy: we don't collect any data from you when you use this application.
• "Family library" support: buy the app once and share it with all your family's devices - that's right, you pay for the app once for all your family members.
• Free PC apps: there are free desktop apps for Windows, Linux and macOS. You can get the desktop apps from easyjoin.net.
For the next few days the app will be at a lower price to promote its launch.
Thank you.
Purchased this today and am expecting it to arrive soon:

Just wondering what the interface is like or if there is considerable lag on this hardware? Will be using the latest version of AndroidTV for Netflix, Plex, and SteamLink. It doesn't seem like most buttery smooth interface at 60fps based on videos I have watched but maybe that has been fixed now with a certain version of AndroidTV in 2020?
I've recently purchased the 50" 50S434 TCL television. The picture is a nice upgrade from my old 1080p TV that died, but I've had significant issues with audio. The main issue I'm having is that there is considerable audio delay going to the soundbar.
Audio setup: I'm using optical audio out to send the audio signal to my Vizio SB3621n-E8 soundbar. Initially, I couldn't get any sound to come out of the soundbar. Eventually, I swapped to a different optical audio cable, and then the sound went through. Later, I swapped back to the original cable and the sound mysteriously continued working. I can only assume that maybe I didn't quite have the cable seated properly? Regardless, that's not the main issue - I'm just providing the background in case it's relevant.
Troubleshooting so far:
So I'm not sure where to go from here! I guess the "dumb" solution would be to send the sound via Bluetooth and hope that's better, but that doesn't feel like an acceptable long-term solution; surely a wired connection should be the highest-quality option, with the lowest latency. Was the TV just designed with such focus on ARC that the Digital Optical Out option was never fully optimized? Am I out of luck?
Thanks in advance for any help!
EDIT: While I am still generally interested to know why this audio output lag is occurring, I found a workaround. I ended up buying an HDMI switch for $20 (https://www.amazon.com/NEWCARE-Switcher-Optical-Extractor-Projector/dp/B089DBDX36/ref=psdc_172546_t1_B08CRJ656C?th=1) that extracts the audio to optical audio out. This effectively bypassed the TV's audio processing and completely eliminated the audio delay. As an added bonus, my HDMI inputs now switch automatically when a new device is powered on/off. The only downside to this approach is that any media sourced from the TV (not via HDMI input) is not sent to the soundbar via optical audio out; however, I can instead send that audio via Bluetooth or via 3.5mm cable - it just requires an input change on the soundbar. I tried using the ARC of HDMI1 to send ARC audio to the HDMI switch, and while that worked, the audio delay was somehow even WORSE than the optical audio out from the TV, so I opted not to go with that solution. So specifically, I have turned OFF ARC on the HDMI switch.
