the remote for my Philips 32pfs6402/12 sadly broke in an accident and i can't get a new one over the holidays (germany)

i now wanted to use my phone as a remote but apparently that requires both the tv and my phone to be connected to the same wifi

sadly my tv has not been connected to the wifi in this house here before

i have discovered one [1] button on the backside of my tv that works like a tiny joystick basically but with that i only seem to be able to access very limited menu functions and NO wifi

question: is there a way to setup wifi on a Philips 32pfs6402/12 without a remote?

There is an app called Screen Recorder (it needs to be sideloaded) but it doesn't record internal audio, it only records audio if you use a mic.

Then there are sever apps (including Nvidia Share) that can record internal audio with 1080p 60fps video but with very low bitrate.

If someone know an app that can do all what I mentioned in the tiltle please let me know :)

So I tried voice searching for a movie, and for whatever reason, google TV just started playing some song off Spotify (I don't even have the Spotify app installed, wtf?) and now I can't "stop" the app. I can pause the music, but no matter what I do, it says that it's always playing (so when screensaver comes on, it shows the icon of the song in the bottom left, which is bad for my OLED as it will create burn-in).

I think the song also seems to be stopping screensaver from coming on altogether, which with an OLED LG C8, really really worries me.

If I can't figure this out, I will need to go back to webOS :(

I just installed the Smart YouTube app. When I tried to login, it gave me the code to activate. The problem is it will goto sign in fail after 2 seconds or so. 2 seconds is not enough for me to enter the code in my computer and click to select which account and allow, etc. Does anyone know what the issue is? I recently purchased a 65in TCL Android TV, and it seems to have an audio processing issue. Randomly the sound will cut out for less than a second. It happens with audio primarily coming out of the tv as well as with audio going to a soundbar via optical. Anyone ever come across this type of issue?

So I have a 65inch MI android TV. Is there any way to shutdown TV using Alexa without using the MI IR blaster. So I tried using the Aberto Sonorus APP but when I setup the routine to turn off the TV using the app it instead of turning it off brings me to the home page of TV.

A family member of mine got a new Android tv. It's our first one and I don't know how to set some things up. I got an app that works as a mouse but it doesn't work on the TV owners mobile. It's not supported on his mobile which is weird because it's like a recent one. I tried another app which has great rating can't remember which but it requires enabling an accessibility service. System -> accessibility under the service tab. Weirdly enough there is no service tab in our android Tv so I can't enable the service for the app. Same thing with Android remote app. How can I make the service tab show? Or is there any other app that works?

I use mi tv stick with a Bluetooth speaker jbl charge 4. When i try to adjust volume it is either too high or too low. There is too mıch difference between volume levels. What should i do?

It appears UHD playback is finally supported in Vudu. However, it doesn't appear that the audio formats have been fixed.

So I have a lot of linked services on the Google home app, is there a way to automatically add them to the tv? For example can my disney plus, sling, hulu, and Netflix accounts automatically copy over from my linked google accounts to the apps on the tv?

I'm going to post this on the cloud gaming sub and it maybe belongs there.. but I bought a Ethernet/USB - USB-C converter ahead of Santa bringing me by Google TV, only to realise that the USB-C slot is actually for the power (which I didn't realise at the time) so here's what im asking:

What's the best (and cheapest!) way to get a USB C cable power passthrough AND ethernet in the same unit?

Bonus points: is there one at a reasonable price point that also has a regular USB 'male' slot for mouse and keyboard support for other apps? thanks! :)

I gave an android TV to my bf. It has a built-in Chromecast. Just set it up, and it seems I can't cast Netflix from my app. I can with whatever else, but when I tried to cast Netflix, it said I had to be in the same account. It just opened the Netflix app, not a Chromecast instance. Sooo....basically, if you have an android TV, only you can cast with your signed in app, otherwise friends or anyone else can only use Netflix with the remote and the signed in account? What sort of nonsense is this, especially with a Google TV with Chromecast built in?

My 4 year old 4K LG "smart" tv doesn't support Disney + and it's appstore is extremely limited. It comes with your standard integrated Youtube, Netflix and Amazon Prime apps (no Disney+ fe). But a simple thing as casting a video of my phone (not through any of the aforementioned apps) seems impossible. I do however ADORE the magic remote that came with it.

I'm looking for a device that has all these apps built in or available for download and has several cast options. What would be even better is if I can attach my external hdd to it so it can play the 4K stuff I've downloaded (WITH subtitles), but that's not the most important thing. I've also read a lot about Kodi and would love to try it. Though I know next to nothing about it yet.

I would however LOVE for it to work with the magic remote. As I've already got about 5 seperate remotes lying around and I'd prefer not to have to add another one.

Will the Mi Box S suffice or will the TV Stick be enough? I'm not familiar at all with other android boxes but xiaomi is a name that keeps popping up. So I'm curious as to how it works and how people are enjoying it. Your advice would definitely be very helpful!

I installed an app which is designed for phones So it doesn’t fit well on my TV screen. I tried the orientation switching app. That helped a little. But it made the app zoom in too much.

So is there a way to like zoom out the app??

So I have family that lives outside of reach for internet in the country where they are. I was trying to find a way to take an android tv dongle(with an SD card) and make its streaming apps have the download options that are available on mobile devices so they can plug it in when they're in town at work (possibly on a portable screen) and download some stuff for when they go home. (Their mobile data gets charged badly if they try to stream their phone. And streaming services don't allow screen sharing downloaded content)

Anyone know of a way to add a cursor to an app, so I can use it on my Android TV?

Hello! I'm a new ATV (Xiaomi Mi Box S) user since yesterday, I was very excited to show my parents a new world for their 2014 LG TV that has no internet capabilities.

I've set everything up, sideloaded Stadia and a few apps that weren't on GP and was surprised there was no option to control two of my TV apps (Horizon Go & Voyo.cz) with the controller. I personally thought the apps had defined buttons that the ATV software would highlight, making it navigate easily.

Turns out it didn't, so I plugged in a mouse and that worked. That sparkled a thought for me: is there a way to make the mouse pointer accessible in other apps by using the controller? I've seen it in the internet browser and worked quite well. I'm trying to make this as easy as possible for my parents haha.

Thanks for any help or ideas! (Thought about airmouse but I want to try any other options first :) )
