I bought a mibox about year ago thinking it could play all any 4k vids through kodi. I recently added some 4k 60fps vids to my library and noticed they’re slow/all out of sync. Through some research even the mibox site states “x264 4k up to 30fps” And “x265 4k up to 60fps” so it’s my fault for not knowing about codecs before buying. I thought all 4k was the same. even tested this cut a piece of my vid 1 minute 100 mb file converted the 1 minute original x264 to x265 and sure enough the x265 played flawlessly, while the x264 sucks. So what Im looking for now is a android box that can play x264 4k 60fps right out the box, what are my options?

My STB is connected to TV via HDMI, and it is mono audio, I cant seem to find any option to enable stereo audio.

I've a 2.1 channel system, and when I did a L-R test, when L is supposed to play, both L and R plays audio, but when R is supposed to play, i get no audio.

Any option or setting that I'm missing? Any help appreciated.

I bought the movie from Google TV on my phone. It plays in English there. But on my Chromecast with remote it plays in what I think is Russian. The language is set to English on both. Any ideas? I've already restarted the chromecast.

I installed Firefox TV via Github and I’m trying to send a tab from my iPad to CCGTV but it’s not working. I logged in and synced it properly, even got a notification saying that the devices are linked and ready for the “Send Tab to Device” feature but no dice. Both are on the same network as well. Any ideas?

I have a good pair of headphones that I switch between my devices so every night I have to go to do 4/5 steps in order to connect them. Do you know any alternative of connecting them like an icon in the launcher or something like that?

I installed a usb drive to my Hisense Android TV and formatted to internal. None of my apps migrate to it.

I have tried following online guides. Settings > Apps > Select an App > Click on storage type. Nothing happens.

I have also reformatted to a removable drive, but it was the same deal.

How can I successfully move the apps?

I have my CCGTV hardwired to my router in my living room, and all of a sudden I can no longer cast to it and while it still shows in Google Home, it says can’t connect... any thoughts on what could be causing this? The CCGTV itself works fine and shows linked to my account, no issues. I have another CCGTV in my house that is on WiFi and that one seems to be casting fine. Odd that it seemed to be working previously and all of a sudden stopped today. I have the Eero mesh WiFi system, and no issues there as well. I haven’t changed any settings or anything recently.

I've used Shields for the last 3-4 years to watch live TV with my dual HDHomeRun Prime setup so that we have six tuners total available to watch on anything from a smartphone/tablet all the way to a Shield or a desktop PC. While I am fond of my Shields and their ease of setting up live TV function, I am interested in seeing if any of the newer Android products work with the HDHomeRun Prime tuners. Recently I purchased one of the new Chromecast dongles because they were cheap (I used a beta tester coupon code to purchase mine for half price) and when I installed the HDHomeRun software on the dongle for some reason Android 10 just would not run properly with the dongle nor find my tuners so watching live TV on it was useless unless I Chromecasted it to the TV which takes the point out of the whole equation.

Which devices besides Shields support live channels at least at 1080p besides the cheap Mi Boxes that were sold at WalMart for $50 or so? I know they rely on DRM so I can't use no-name boxes like what you could buy from China, but am interested if there are any Android 10 devices out there that support Live TV Channels plus HDHomeRun/CableCARD functionality. Just using the Prime tuners has saved my family $60 per month in equipment rental fees from Comcast and I want to continue to use CableCARDs for as long as I possibly can.

I have a problem where when i shut down my tv mi stick also shuts down is there a way to keep the stick always on ( i have already put dont shut down on developer options but it didnt work) please help

I have Kodak Android 9.0 TV (Model: 43CA2022) with Bluetooth. By mistake, we removed/unpaired the TV default Remote on Bluetooth accessories section. Now am trying to pair the TV Remote to TV. But not sure what's the Key on Remote to put it in Pairing mode. Even checked on the TV User manual, But it's not mentioned.

I have the new Chromecast with Android TV, and it's telling insufficient storage. I'm in All Apps and the biggest file here is one here is 139 MB. There's only a couple dozen apps installed and they majority are double digit MB. I've gone through each one and nothing I've seen justifies 4 gigs being used up. Any ideas?

Anyone who has used ReelGood App extensively and now has GoogleTV can offer comments on features set. I just started using the two. I prefer Rotten Tomato ratings on GoogleTV over ReelGood. But also realize if you use ReelGood as your primary content management (ratings, watchlists etc) if you switch to say a Roku device later, you can use ReelGood there too. Does one have any other major advantages over the other?

I have a Sony Bravia Androïd TV and i just got a bluetooth karaoke with 2 speakers. When I connect the bluetooth, I get a message saying it's connected but there is no sound from the speakers. It works fine when I connect my Android phone. Do you have any idea on how should I proceed to get the sound of my TV on the speakers ?

Hi all. I’m a bit confused as to if this particular app is available to this tv. AT&T website says yes to chrome cast enabled TVs and TCL website says yes to steaming service apps in general. It’s almost 2021 and I figured any new device would be with the times and have a non-new service app available. This is for a friend who’s a cord cutter beginner. I personally have this app on my Apple TV and understand tech stuff but haven’t been able to get a clear answer if this is available to TCL android TVs. That is what my friend is planning on buying and I would like to avoid finding out after he purchases the tv. Thanks for any info at all.

I got one of the new Chromecast with GoogleTV and the biggest gripe i have is it forcing content from apps I don't subscribe to.

All over the home screen are suggestions for Peacock and H I and other services I don't have installed or subscribe to. The most annoying are the Google play suggestions for paid content from their service.

Is there a way to remove all suggestions for content outside of the apps on the device? I've checked my services and I don't have anything besides what I subscribe to checked.

Thoughts?

I am confused by the difference between the apps on Google TV and the Services on YouTube TV.

Can someone describe what the difference in what the media content or service is: between an G.tv app and YT.tv service? Why would I want an App, if I already have a channel from my existing service provider.

I am hoping someone can help with a problem that has been bugging me for months. I have to manually activate the screensaver setting on my Philips TV (Android 9.0 - most recent security patch from October 2020) every day in order for the screensaver to work as it should. I have:

• Factory reset the TV a few times to see if that resolves the issue (it doesn't);
• Contacted Philips to see if they could help (they were pretty hopeless); and
• Scoured the internet (including Reddit) for a fix (I can't see any).

I would be very grateful for any advice anyone has on how to resolve the issue. Otherwise the TV works well. It certainly isn't as fast/smooth as a Nvidia Shield TV but otherwise it does the job.

So I have an android tv box with only two usb ports. Is there a compatible wireless keyboard and mouse that would only take up one usb port that works with most android tv boxes? My box can do bluetooth just fine.
