USB power passthrough (and mouse and keyboard?) on Google TV

by FolieAJew

I'm going to post this on the cloud gaming sub and it maybe belongs there.. but I bought a Ethernet/USB - USB-C converter ahead of Santa bringing me by Google TV, only to realise that the USB-C slot is actually for the power (which I didn't realise at the time) so here's what im asking:

What's the best (and cheapest!) way to get a USB C cable power passthrough AND ethernet in the same unit?

Bonus points: is there one at a reasonable price point that also has a regular USB 'male' slot for mouse and keyboard support for other apps? thanks! :)

I also have this question! Hope someone answers

Here's a hub by Aukey that people have reported working with the new Chromecast:

There's a more expensive model that shows on that page. It includes an SD card reader unlike the one above.

Edit: you may need to add another power brick. I've read claims that people were able to use the one that came with the Chromecast, but some reviews say it doesn't supply enough power.

I'm thinking buy one for my chromecast with google TV but I have a question. Are all usb c hub with pd good for this? This probably a dumb question but does the energy goes also to the chromecast or just to the ports on the hub?

I have this one: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07H2ZS1B5/

And this one: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07XKRGQQ2/

Both work well on the CCwGTV. Ethernet works on both. I've connected a logitech k400 kb/m combo successfully also. The standard powerbrick works to boot but I assume with a lot of peripherals (HDD etc) you'd need a larger one.

I'm successfully playing Stadia on a wired connection without issue :)
