As title said some of the sideloaded apps I have installed do not show up in the 'Your Apps' menu, unlike the Fire Stick.

To get to these apps I have to go into the Settings > Apps > See All Apps, and open them from there.

It makes no sense to me that they are installed and show up in the See All Apps within the settings but not in 'Your Apps'.

Does anyone know why this might be? Does the device just not recognise them as apps?

You can connect a cheap Roku player to an Android TV so you have both Android TV and Roku, but is there any benefit to having Android TV built into the TV? Or is it better to have Roku built into the TV?

Suddenly I can't cast Hbo Go and YouTube to my Xiaomi Mi Box S from my Motorola One. It's strange because Youtube Vanced app casts fine. Also using other phones hbo and official youtube app works perfectly fine.

I have a 5-6yo Bravia in my bedroom. It got a big update yesterday, and I thought maybe it was getting Google TV, but no such luck. Will this TV get it at all, or should I just pick up a Chromecast?

Hello guys, iam using TCL C 715 firmware V620 Iam having a problem with Youtube and disney plus application while watching videos on both the video freezes and iam not able to go back or switch off the tv using remote. The only way to switch it off is to remove the plug. Any ways to fix it?

Hello. I’m an emulation fan and I’m interested in getting a powerful media box for the living room. Right now we have a roku and I think it would be great if I could select emulation apps as well. I’d love to have an easy to use media box that my kids/wife can watch Netflix/Disney on and that I can game on. Looking to be able to emulate up to ps2/wii if possible.

I have two questions:

1.) Is the nvidia shield the most powerful streaming/gaming box? And are there close alternatives?

2.) Is it possible to use a small form factor pc and achieve the following:

a.) Install Android OS. b.) Use a remote control to turn the unit on/select apps like a normal tv box. (Like without getting up to push a button on the pc.) Easy for kids/wife to use.

Back in the day when picture tube TVs were still very common, my father used to have a headset connected to his TV. I'm thinking of wanting to do the same with my LED TV where normally would watch with soubd over the TV and occasionally when needed watch with my headset on. I'm also buying a Shield TV Pro soon-ish. Is there an easy way in Android TV to select an alternative sound output instead of the HDMI out to the TV?

Philips 43PUS8505/12 android TV (ver.9) connects without problems with TCL ELIT400BT headphones and after 5 minutes every time headphones says "turning off". TV Bluetooth ver 4.2, headphones 5.0. Tested with phone and works without problems. Looks like headphones does not recognize TV update signal and goes to power save. Sound works good during that 5 minutes while it works. Is there a way to solve it?

Hello, I've noticed that sometimes, the highest resolution available for a video isn't an option on youtube app for atv. My tv is 32pfs6402. Any ideas? Thanks

SO I was dealing with a problem today where my tv would turn on fine and navigate to any app. However, as soon as I decided on one and clicked it, any show/movie/etc. would not load on any of my apps. Optimization and cache clearing/etc. would not fix it.
FIX: All I had to do was go to settings, device preferences, quick start, and disable quick start. Then, turn tv off and back on and everything was back to normal. You can enable quick start again. Hope this helps someone in my previous position!

I don't know if I can even post this here but everytime I mention the H9G somewhere as buying advice,People give me shit for buying a Hisense or calling it Garbage or as one person in a YT comment section said "Hisense Nonsense" It pisses me off because everyone is saying the Sony X900H is better when it literally worse than the Hisense H9G. I finished a show around a week ago and started a new one (both on Netflix) and the continue watching bit on my Google TV Chromecast hasn't updated. I've restarted it and no luck. Any ideas?

And can you switch between the devices with a physical remote or an app with this tv?

Can you do this with the main Android TV Remote Control app from Google for Android phones? Do you need different apps to do this? Thanks.

Hey guys, so I use Solid Explorer on my CCwGTV to access Google Drive in order to watch videos stored on there and sideload apps. I went to start a show and it told me that it had logged me out.

I tried to sign back in but it says "app not supported". Solid Explorer still allows me to access Gdrive from my phone, and I also tried X-plore which gave me the same error trying to sign into Gdrive.

Any ideas or has Google killed this to prevent sideloading?

I have a TV with Chromecast with Google Home, and I LOVE it, but I want more.

Are there any good TV tuners (preferably ones that aren't $50+) I can connect to it? Will it recognize that I've hooked up an antenna or would I need a separate app? What's a good app?

My goal is to have it hooked up to a USB hub with external storage along with a TV tuner. I want to be able to record OTA TV onto my external storage as well as store apps on there. I also want a nice guide UI.

Is this feasible? Can it be done for less than $100? Or should I look into some other device?
