Philips android TV disconnects TCL Bluetooth headphones after 5 min

by anonimas

Philips 43PUS8505/12 android TV (ver.9) connects without problems with TCL ELIT400BT headphones and after 5 minutes every time headphones says "turning off". TV Bluetooth ver 4.2, headphones 5.0. Tested with phone and works without problems. Looks like headphones does not recognize TV update signal and goes to power save. Sound works good during that 5 minutes while it works. Is there a way to solve it?

First, check for updates on your tv. Then see if your headphone firmware is up to date. Still not good? Check the power save option on the tv in the settings. If available turn off power save. Still no go? Then you're looking at getting a USB blue tooth adaptor for your tv. Get a good one with at least BT 4.0 and APTX so no speech delay. They are not pricy.
