Hello all! Been using Nvidia Shield Tube version for over a year now, and im tired of the 4K stuttering and lag. I want to buy a new device and the pro version is to expensive.

What is the best alternative for high bitrate 4K remux files? CCgtw? FS 4k Max?

I heard a lot of issues that this device can’t read files larger than fat32 (4gb) which is a problem with some apps.

I heard the mi box fixes this however and Nvidia shield and works with NTfs and exfat

Anyone have input?

I have started experiencing an issue with my 3m-old TCL TV running on Android TV. The user interface loads very slowly (up to a minute) and the apps do not work correctly until everything is fully rendered and loaded in the UI. If I open Netflix straight away, it just loads the logo - I either have to wait for the system UI to load first or I need to close an app and open again. Have anyone faced this issue? I am not having any third-party apps (only Netflix and Plex installed) and I have done factory reset. Running on the latest update.

I know this has been asked a couple of times here, but so far, hasn't been answered. In short, I want to be able to filter youtube videos (mainly for sort by date), because looking for keywords and limiting date to newer stuff yields me far better results than the algorithm currently does.

I have SmartYoutube Next Beta installed, but it doesn't do that. There have been (old) requests on github for filters and this pops up a bit, but in the end, it doesn't seem that anything will happen soon.

Normal youtube app doesn't give me filters, freetube is just Win/Mac/Linux ,youtube vanced is for mobile not for tv. Closed thing to success was just using Firefox on android, but this thing doesn't get updated, the youtube site is kinda broken and I can't log into my account, but at least it let's my filter videos. Obviously this is very clunky and I would much prefer something app-like.

Is there like *any* other possiblility to be able to filter youtube videos just with the remote on android TV (while using youtube account)?

Installing APK is obviously not an issue but I have no idea what. I really don't get why adding filter is such a taboo topic?

Can any one tell me if it's possible to run Android Auto on an Android TV box and connect your phone to it?

Preloading apps and software for a gift, is it possible to send this way for it to later be powered on and change the wifi?

I have a Philips ANDROID Smart TV. It would not have been my first choice for brands, but Android OS was a MUST for me. I like having the Play Store and being able to download certain apps (pretty much any app as on my phone) - Like VLC Player - So I don't EVER need to worry about any of the movies or shows I download actually being compatible file types with my TV, etc. VLC Player is just one reason (out of a TON) why I like Android TV, over all the others. Primarily I am just an android guy.

But the TV has started messing up, It was flickering off and on while I was trying to play my ps5. I am wondering what you would all say is the BEST ROUTE I can go to get the same functions and abilities that I have with my Smart TV w/ Android OS. Should I put my trust in ANOTHER Phillips brand Android OS TV?? When mine is only a couple years old!?? I can't seem to find any other Smart TV that has Android OS except Philips.. well and TLC I think. Aren't TLC junk??

Or is there another route? can I get an Android OS Set top box? Will it be EXACLTY LIKE having an Android OS TV??

Any other suggestions? I want Android OS for the play store DEFINITELY

When I cast from youtube music app to GTV, it shows me only initial logo screen "youtube" and dose not cast at all.

But It is able to cast to GTV when I use youtube app.

There are any solution about this?

This issue started happening around the same time I hooked up a Phillips Hue Sync, maybe a coincidence.

My Android TV stick that came with a new projector stopped letting me connect to my 5G wifi network, when I try to select my wifi it’ll just say “Connecting to WU TANG LAN-5g” until eventually it pops the message in my title. Ive tried unplugging/restarting everything, I’ve gone into my wifi settings to change the channel it’s on, tried setting the date/time to automatic as all these YouTube videos and articles suggested, even a factory reset.. Nothings worked!

I just bought this BENQ projector a couple weeks ago and it was working fine until this started. So for now it’s pretty much just an expensive ceiling ornament, kinda disappointing but hopefully I can find a solution.

Hello guys I am here hoping for a solution. For some reason I cannot just cast (like I'd do on original Chromecast devices) via Netflix app on any of our android devices in the home. Tried many phones.

Can I not just simply cast to the device via my phone? Or do I need the Netflix app to be installed on the Chromecast? Our problem could be tricky because we have two paid Netflix accounts in the home and want to use the CCwGT just to cast without logging into the Netflix app.

I would appreciate a fix, we just can't connect to the device via the cast button on the phone. Won't allow us.

Hello. I have a fairly new Android TV (Sony X80j) that I sometimes use to watch local broadcast television with an HD antenna. I want to make a routine where my television will turn on in the morning to the local broadcast news. Does anyone know a voice command to turn on the television to a particular channel? I say things like "Turn on TV to channel 3.2" and it will turn on and search for 3.2 on YouTube or something.

Edit: I actually found an "On timer" under the "Timers & Clock" settings that I can use to achieve my goals (turning on the local television station every weekday morning). It's not through the Google interface, and I still can't change channels with my voice, but it works.

Hey there, I want to add my TV to my living room speaker group so it plays Spotify on the TV and my Google speakers. I read some articles from early 2020 that's this feature was made available for Android TVs after version 1.47.xxx.

But right now I can only stream Spotify on either my TV or the Google speakers. When I try to add the tv to a group in my ghome app it won't show me the tv as an option. The tv is from this year, fully updated and has Chrome cast built in. It is added to my home in ghome and also to the correct room, but can't add it to the group.

What am I missing here?

What is the best USB-C hub for Chromecast w/ Google TV? 1G Ethernet port would be nice as well.
