Cannot cast to CCwGT via Netflix app

Hello guys I am here hoping for a solution. For some reason I cannot just cast (like I'd do on original Chromecast devices) via Netflix app on any of our android devices in the home. Tried many phones.

Can I not just simply cast to the device via my phone? Or do I need the Netflix app to be installed on the Chromecast? Our problem could be tricky because we have two paid Netflix accounts in the home and want to use the CCwGT just to cast without logging into the Netflix app.

I would appreciate a fix, we just can't connect to the device via the cast button on the phone. Won't allow us.

I think that there's a specific limitation for not being able to cast Netflix to a CCwGTV device. You have to use the app on the device.

The only thing I can cast Netflix to is the Nest Hub, not the relatively new Android TV in my living room or the CCwGTV whereas I can cast Prime Video to any one of three ATV in the house but not the Nest Hub :/
