I've gotten myself confused about this,

If you have a win 11 pc running as a server, and win 11 can run android app can it run a android TV gui? If so can you pass-through win emulators and Plex ect back to the android TV gui? In short could I have a pc media center and it output an android TV to every TV in my house and access the same play list save games etc and be big screen and wife friendly

Will the extra power compensate for poor optimization

So I got the new Chromecast hearing you can install a VPN on it without having to go through the router. Got Nord up and running but nothing streams. I get the recommendations and listings from the target country but when I go through to stream the apps all immediately block the VPN. Have I missed a step? Activated Lynx protocol and side loaded the streaming app I was after (BBC iPlayer). Nord does come up as being disabled by admin in the unknown app menu under security and restrictions, could that be why?

Does Google TV have the Xfinity Streaming App and if it does, does it appear under "Live TV"? - Thanks for any replies.

I just changed my phone and noticed the app I was using as a remote for Android TV doesn't exist anymore. It's been replaced by the Google TV app which includes a floating remote when a TV is detected. There is a setting to enable it. The problem: the floating remote just doesn't show up. Am I missing something? I tested a couple of random Android TV remote apps from the Play Store and they all detect my Android TV immediately (it's a Sony X850E if that matters), why am I having issues with the "official" app only?

Bought a movie on Google Play Movies. Shows up in the app on my phone and tablet, however does not show up on my Chromecast with Google TV stating that it's still for sale and if you click on buy it says processing purchase?

Had this with one other movie that took about 5 days before it was in my library on the Chromecast. I've rebooted and everything else possible yet still the same result. This has only started since the last update?

Any ideas?

I recently purchased a Sony TV with Google TV, and I'm trying to make it so my kids can watch certain apps (Disney+, Netflix, etc) and play their PlayStation...however, when I set up a kid profile, there is no ability to switch TV inputs. It just says "Feature not available in current profile" when I click the Input button on the TV remote. Similarly, when I click the TV button, to switch to HDMI 3 where my cable box is hooked up, I get this message "TV isn't available now. This is managed by Google TV". I can't seem to get the right combination of parental controls set up. Is this even possible?

I recently bought a TCL TV Series 6 with the Google TV option. I am trying to connect to it as a wireless display, but the TV doesn't show up on the options to connect to wirelessly.

I know that you can cast tabs in Chrome, but I have found that to be buggy. With Google TV can you connect as a wireless display? I've done it before, but only with a Roku TV

I really think its expensive, the keyboard that i have dont work very fine bc i try to use ñ and write another stuff and most special signs are changed to another places and well its rom and ram suck a little for the device prince. And this cant play Captain Tsubasa Miracle Shoot lmao. So i need recommendations no more expensive that this one but better Android Box with better gpu or cpu or whatelse, in resume better options. I want it have the Google voice system at least bc i like its jokes? And well i just use Disney plus at the moment so Google certifications would be cool. Looking to create a shortcut on my Nvidia shield tv. I tried using tv app repo and while it worked fine forever the new android TV 9 doesn't allow it to create anything. Any other suggestions because I have tried them all.

I have an OnePlus 43Y1, and downloaded beach buggy racing on it. On the one plus website it says we can connect PS4 controller, and when i did it connects to Bluetooth, but when i go to the game it doesn't show up as a remote or gamepad device. Moreover, when I try to install other games that need gamepad, even when the controller is connected the play store gives a notice saying gamepad is required. Is the PS4 controller not a compatible gamepad, and if I do buy another one which one is good for Android TVs?

Also are there any apps that could connect my android phone as a controller for the tv?

I wanted to test out the free Pluto Live Channels on my Sony Bravia Google TV X85j I uninstalled the app but the Live tab is still there with all the stuff from Pluto TV! Is there a way to disable it again?

I use multiple straming apps having 4K TV and limited GB in my Internet plan. Is any way I can force my TV to slower Internet speed so I Prime/Netwflix apps will play content in HD/FHD, not 4K? I know that some Android Phones has these settings in developer mode. I use 2020 Philips TV with Android TV 9.

I'm seeing an issue with Google TV apps having an issue with speaker volume. We have to power off and back on to hear movies or tv show on any apps. This causes issues with tv episodes. Is anyone seeing this issue, recently?

1. No Dolby Vision
2. Remote is nice
3. Seems to be more peppy performance wise than a Chromecast with GTV
4. No match content. Have to use HDR.
5. Overall…just OK.

So my parents went out and bought a Toshiba 50" 50U2063DB in the hopes to download popcorn time and watch some movies. But when they called me down to download it, there was no google play store, there was their own app store where there weren't a lot of apps. I tried sideloading the google play store but the TV doesn't recognise the APK? So I was just wondering is this tv and Android TV and if it is how in the world do I get popcorn time on it? (In the store it had an android tv sticker on it but as it seems on the box it says nothing about being an android tv)

The video source will be a folder on my network, where I have a few (dozens...) 2160p HDR videos. But I could add them as a youtube playlist, if needed to use this as a source.

Is there one app to do this? Something like Aereal Dream, but I want my own videos.
