My problem is similar. Mine is the issue when using the audio system (using ARC). The remote control that comes from my TV does not increase the volume on the audio system, where it should. I have to restart the audio system for it to work again. I think this happened twice this week.
I'm using the latest Google TV available.
Sorry - I've no idea how to resolve mine; so no idea how to resolve yours either.
What is the brand/model of your TV, brand/model of your speaker and which apps are you having problem with?
