I have the onn streaming box. The volume is very low even when the TV volume is on high. If I stream directly to Chromecast the volume acts normally. Any advice?

Hello, I live in Germany & would like to download an app onto my Mi Box from abroad (Turkey). Unfortunately, I can't find the app in the search. Are there any other options, such as changing the region under Settings?

It seems like the YouTube app has recently been updated and signed out of the accounts I've been logged into and used for years. So when I log in (Through YouTube/activate) it works fine, but if I try to switch to a different account, instead of having the option to log into a separate account, it just straight up logs you out and tells you to log back in with the activate link in a browser. Why is this a thing now? Is anyone else experiencing this?

The latest version of Android security patch level in my android TV is of 5 March, 2021. Anyone have any idea when they gonna update it. I have sony Bravia KD-49X8200E.

Hi. Firstly I'd like to clarify, I am from Asia. I have a Google CwGTV. Apparently this morning, it has updated to a new UI. Now whenever I press the "Home" button, it takes me to the "For You" tab. Thing is, most of the streaming apps that are listed in the "For You" tab are not available in my country anyways, and I don't use Netflix. So this tab is 99% useless for me.

So it's preferable for me for the "Home" button takes me to the app tab instead, where I can directly go to what I want to use. Are there any way for me to assing which Tab the "Home" button goes to?

Is it ok to connect y-splitter(like hub) with usb to connect usb dongle for my remote control?

Or it will ruin the performance of the stick?

I saw it's working. But not sure if it's ruining the performance or not. Cuz it's only a stick (low voltage)...

Found it at a local used games/electronic store. Actually my second one, the first one I also bought there months ago for $30. Guy at the counter seemed to not even know what it was. I know these are a little sluggish but for the price they can’t be beat in my book.

Have been using the Onn for a few weeks now and like it. I just got a Mecool KM2 box and like the added features except I much prefer the launcher in the Onn box. Does anyone know what that is and if I can install in on the Mecool? If it wasn't for the limited space on the Onn I wouldn't have gone to the Mecool. Have tried to add external storage to the Onn but give up. Thanks to any.

"FYI, I tried the youtube video but this time used a different usb memory stick and it worked this time. I tried another stick and that one didnt work either And I then tried my last stick and it worked fine. So 2 for 4, two USB 3 and two USB 3.1, different manufacturers. One 3.1 and one 3.0 worked. But I am tickled to death that I got it to go.

I woke up to my YouTube today with the playback (speedometer) icon no longer present in the app! I even updated to the latest version through the Play Store and the button is still not there 😭.

Can you guys share what version of the app do you age and if y'all are still seeing the button?

Long story short: My preferred and perfect method to watch anything, is through Media Player Classic, specially since it offers such great subtitle/audio tracks customization and it's the perfect player with the most responsive and simplest commands/UI in my humble opinion, plus it's already configured to work perfectly with my audio/TV setup.

That said, I've been out of a laptop to call my own for a long time, and I've recently moved houses, not being able to bring the laptop I was using with me. Thanks to the moving and the endless list of expenses and things I need to buy for the new house, I'm far away from being able to buy my laptop, while I have a perfectly good TV that I can't use for other than PS4 games and PS4's crappy media player, which by the way, has a terribly low audio that I can't amp up no matter what device I'm using, be it headphones or earphones.

That leaves me with the cheapest option that I didn't even knew existed, the miracle that are Android Boxes, for my TV. One would make a good replacement for a laptop as a media player for the time being, but I'm afraid I might be wasting my money if it can't do what I need it to do.

A quick Google search showed me that, despite not having Media Player Classic - Home Cinema, as it's a Windows-only application, one can still emulate Windows itself on an Android Box.

So, here's my questions:

• Can an Android Box reliably emulate Windows 10 and run MKV/MP4 1080p files on MPC-HC while emulating?

• Does it have an audio jack to connect headphones with?

• If emulating Windows and running DS4Windows, does it support a connected PS4/Dualshock 4 controller connected via USB cable, so I can just plug my controller with my 3 meter USB cable and plug my headphones into the controller so I can control Windows and listen to the headphone audio via the controller like I do in an actual laptop? Would the audio quality be accurate to an actual windows experience?

So I stupidly STUPIDLY updated my shield and since doing so like many others both mx player isnt detecting the my video files on my external hard drive. Will a fix be implemented soon?.

I've been told it's due to the new smb (I don't know what that is). Apparently vlc player has the same issue.

I would like to use my MiBox as a streaming device, as it offers a much snappier and richer UI than my raspberry pi 3. However, I am worried Android my not have the APIs to capture the pointer.

Would I be able to use the mouse and keyboard on it despite being an Android TV app? I would like to play Civ6 and Cities Skylines.

Is there a way to resolve the Eac2 issue on cwgtv, i'd rather use Mx player than Vlc for streaming because Vlc lags when i stream with it.

Looking for a cheap, small box that I can easily move from room to room so I don’t have to fight with unplugging my shield. I tried to use an Onn one with the otg cable trick but it absolutely refused to play nice with my external drive. So I’m looking for the cheapest option for a box that will connect and read from said drive. Ideally it would also support Kodi or at least MX Player Pro.

EDIT: some clarifications - if the solution involves connecting to the actual internet outside of the setup scrape for Kodi (if that - that’s a bonus on top of MPP) I don’t think it will work - my internet is very poor and when I tried to run PMS from my shield it caused the device to chug and freeze on top of Plex just being clunky. Some sort of local network might be more feasible but I’m not hopeful.

It seems like the stock file manager, which is normally hidden within android 11 setting, is removed from Mi TV Stick 4k and I cannot get access to android/data folder. Does anyone know how to get access to the folder or a workaround to add subtitle font file for Kodi?

Looking for an Android 11 [Google Certified] TV device not made in China - Shield looks good, but read it doesn't even come with IR or a proper cable, which adds even more bucks to the already-$200 device ... eh...

What else is good out there? $100~150 feels ideal. Must support the usual high end goodies: 4k, hdr, netflix, hulu, amazon prime, plex (as a client).

Must be able to download ExpressVPN from the Play Store (I read that some don't, for some reason). Must be able to use no matter where I am (I travel; eg, no weird geo restrictions that a VPN wouldn't resolve).
