Since there is no official app for the Xfinity Stream for AndroidTV. I'm trying to get the Xfinity stream app work on on my Shield and Sony TV. The app itself works great, but I'm trying to set it up as a regular androidTV app so it can show on the default launcher. I'm using https://atvlauncher.trekgonewild.de/index_tvapprepo.php
I'm trying to use "com.xfinity.cloudtvr" as the entry so it can grab it from the play store, but when It gets the app, the app doesn't open. I get a message that says "apk not found". Has anybody tried it or does anybody has another tool to make any apk an androidTV apk?
I have found the app on Google Play Store compatible with TV. Here's the link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.xiaomi.smarthome.tv.global2&hl=en&gl=US
Unfortunately there's no APK available for the above mentioned 'Mi Home app' Version: 2.4.3.101.
This version of the app seems to work flawlessly on TV as show on the video:

NOTE: This is a different version specifically made for TVs. The Mi Home app for mobile does not run without glitches on TVs.
I'd be grateful if someone could extract the APK and make it available for everyone. Please share the link.
I wanted to remap the buttons on my Onn box without having to unlock the bootloader or root and I was able to accomplish this by following a guide posted by Double_A_92 on XDA:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/guide-remapping-android-tv-remote-buttons.4433617/
It works well, though once in a while it will launch the original app, and you have to press the button twice to open the correct app. Also if you press the back button you will return to the original app instead of the previously running app. To avoid that just use the home button instead.
According to the guide, this method should work for other devices like the Xiaomi Mi Box.
