When trying to FF while using the Apple TV streaming service I can't consistently get it to do different speeds.

Most of the time it just jumps forward, I think, 30 seconds.

But every once in awhile I will get it to FF. But I can't figure out the trick.

So I have a peculiar issue with the YouTube app on my Google TV (TCL R646)

The microphone works fine for Google assistant but then inside the YouTube app it just refuses to work when I click the mic icon in search

I have reset the app, repaired my remote, tried uninstalling and reinstalling app updates, checked permissions, even removed (though it automatically came back) Google Speech Services

I am at my wits end - how do I resolve this issue? I simply cannot use voice search on YouTube - which completely Ruins the YouTube Tv user experience

AFAIK it wasn't as bad when I got the TV 2 months ago - though my memory does not serve me well here.

Also - it sometimes does work (like once in a hundred times) but then idk what's the situation - perhaps it's the TV mic catching it and not the remote one - but this is also damn buggy

So I am interested on what is the easiest way to stream videos from websites. I currently go to websites and from there I pick up my videos, but doing it on Puffin browser it feels like I've stepped back in the year 2000, it's slow, it's full of ads, overall makes it too much of a hassle, so I figured there's gotta me a better way.

Hello all. So I am insanely frustrated with the lack of space and performance of my Fire stick 4k as of late. I am looking to switch to something better(more ram, better UI speed, and more storage space)

I have a custom launcher install as well as Kodi with several add-ons and a custom skins as well as you standard Netflix, Shudder, Prime Video, ect

I would need to be able to use ADB without a PC(laptop is ancient, runs Windows 7 with first gen USB2 ports) it's a nightmare to get any sort of ADB recognition on the thing.

I am not looking to break the bank. Just something with increased specs and is easily customizable would be fantastic.

I haven't managed to get these working on my TV for the past two years. They've had massive input lag and stutters.

That was until a couple days ago I found some older reddit post about "disabling hw overlays" to fix input lag.

Did that in the android dev settings and they work perfectly now, but the issue is that everywhere else I've read that this setting shouldn't do anything and is only for debugging? So why does it work?

It also messes up the colors a bit, making them look slightly washed out.

This is a pretty specific case but I would like to cast my Samsung TV to my Xiaomi TV stick so I can see my console on 2 screens.

Seems like Samsung got some kind of DRM so I'm not able to screenmirror then cast. Couldn't find or think of any other workaround

My father wants to get a new tv, but the only tv on sale is an Android tv (even though we have a Chromecast with Google tv) since that's the tv he wants, he isn't used to the stock Android tv interface as much as he is used to the Google tv interface and software, is there a way that I could disable the Android tv and keep the TV's input to just the Chromecast rather than the Android tv

I have a 65" Sony A80J. I'm trying to remap/customize the input button on the remote to switch the HDMI input from my DirecTV receiver to the HDMI input for my Nvidia Shield. In the Button Mapper app, I added the input button/enabled Customize/selected Double tap/Applications/and tried Input, Input Menu, Inputs, and Inputs Menu. When I double tap the input button, the input options appear at the bottom of the screen and then auto scrolls to the last option.

Ideally, I want to double press the input button so that it automatically switches to my Nvidia Shield. I should note that my Nvidia Shield is plugged directly into my Sony soundbar. I prefer to keep the setup this way, but if I need to plug it in to one of the TV HDMI inputs, so be it.
