Hoping for some help. Bought a Hisense H9F after reading rave reviews on it. Scoured BestBuy for a week to actually find one in stock.

Brought it home, set it up for store use mode and watched the trailer just fine. Had to go to a party, so I reset it out of store mode went to check for updates and it said there were none. I shut it off and came back about 4 hours later and it told me there was an update. I updated it and ever since it has been boot looping.

I called customer service and they sent me the manual update package, i update it and no change. I would just exchange it, but it’s such a hot ticket item that no one has it.

Does anyone have any additional recommendations. I’m very familiar with unlocking android etc. so willing to dig into this a bit if anyone has the guidance to offer.

Is it really so that we cannot tether different wifis to one tv at home? I just recently bought new tv and it was quite natural to buy android tv as we already have phones and tab as android devices. Currently we dont have fixed connection at home as it seems that mobile data is fast enough for kids to watch their stuff while me and wife looking netflix. There is quite often times when only one of us is at home and thats not an issue with tab or laptop to use either one of us phone as wifi hotspot. I thought that would be de facto function as it is in any android device to remember previously used networks. This TV will only remember one network at time. If my wife needs to use her phone for tethering she needs to enter password again. Whenever she had used it and I need to tether from my phone same again.

Is it really so crappy that it cant be done? It does not make any sense as that functionality is already in the android and that is implemented at so low level in software that it really should not matter if it is phone or tv. They have just decided to take that feature out for some stupid reason.

I was wondering if you guys know a way to always get to the homescreen when turning on the tv.

The tv is a Philips 55PUS7303.

I like that my ps4 and tv are communicating with each other via hdmi, so the tv turns on when i power on the console. But it is annoying af when i just wanna watch a yt video or something else and power in the tv by myself and it turns on to the last used source (ps4) and starts the console.

Any ideas how to fix that?

It is not being delivered via OTA so far, so just grab it of the Sony website and put it on a USB stick! I just installed it on my KD-XF8305 and so far there are no issues.

From past week my Amazon prime video isn't working. Whenever I try to play something it gives me an error saying something wrong happened. I have a TCL iFFALCON android tv and had sideloaded Amazon prime video apk which worked well since past 3 months. My TV isn't officially certified to have the prime video. Anyone facing the similar issue or have any workaround to make it work.

I own a shield already but need a box that won't break the bank and is wife approved for a 1080p bedroom TV. Which one do you recommend ? I own the first gen Mi Box and it was fine until it recently croaked . I'm using Roku now but it misses a few things that I need on Android TV. A deciding factor can be the remote if I can program one for my TV.

I have an xbr900f connected to stereo speakers via optical. Anytime I need to redirect the sound, I have to cycle through a sound menu and select the sound screen and then the preferred speakers. Is there any way to program the remote to bring up this menu via one touch? Thank you so much in advance.

using TCL K31 android 9 certified connected to internet via Ethernet

when ever i connect to NordVPN using Ethernet it says connected to USA#XXXX server connected but soon after it is connected i get "Ethernet not connected" notification on my TV. Am i missing something here? have anyone here had same issue? thanks in advance.

I recently bought a new smart tv, and i want to control it through my phone. When I launch android TV apo, there is no tv... Its really strange, if someone knows how to help it would be appreciated. It also says for my wifi (in the app) that its a unknown ssid.

When I connect Bluetooth headphones, the TV keeps playing audio through the digital output too.

I want to automatically disable the speaker audio when I connect Bluetooth. Is there a way to do that?
