Do you think the upcoming Android TV dongle from Google will be branded 'Nest' because it is a smart home device, or will it be "Pixel"? I'm guess is that it will be nest because pixel is for mobile computing devices which Android TV is not. What do you all think?

I am hoping that we may be able to pull the stream apk from their device to run on other Android TV devices.

Their content aggregation is so nice, then to be able to just list all add-ons it is available for, better than stock.

I switch over to my playstation to confirm that the HDMI ports where working. I think turned the playstation off and pressed home on the controller. The screen stays black. I am able to hold the home button down and get a side menu of apps installed however i want to return to the android app home screen.

How do i return to the android app home screen if not with the home button?

I've purchased a Xiaomi Mi box and am impatiently awaiting for its arrival. I've seen that RetroArch is fully compatible with Android TV. I'd love to play some 16 bit classics on my big TV.

I think I'll need a gamepad for this though. I know Xiaomi make a gamepad. I don't have a ps4 controller, I think they work though.

Does anyone have any experience with gamepads?

Help, my Xiaomi Mi BOX S is getting a really great internet Speed in Speed Tests apps (200mbit download/upload) but the ping is really high (~38), and the Geforce Now app is having a really bad lag. Will buying a ethernet adapter is really going to fix it?

I've had an Nvidia shield for about 2 years & its a fantastic box. I've been using APK movie and TV apps such as cyberflix and catmouse, however I have found that these APK's have stopped showing 1080p links. Anybody got an idea why? And what fixes would you recommend. Cheers!

Hi, just got a new Sony GX81, have installed some apps from the store & now want to delete them, android is saying they are deleted but they still appear on the home screen, they don't work anymore & I can't delete the icon, it just sits there, tried reinstalling & deleting again, now I have 2 icons.

I presume its the cache but which system file controls the front cache?

Hi! I will soon get the LG B9 4K and I was wondering which was the best Android TV box I could get for 4K movies? I got all stored in Jellyfin on my home server, and I can plug the Android TV box directly onto my internet box by cable.

Nothing special but i just want my android tv to display the time, weather forecast and my activites (in the google calendar) and is it also possible that I could schedule this with google assistant to enter this 'mode' every morning?

I have installed few apk via xplore but I can’t find a way uninstall it but which I downloaded from google store that i can uninstall but not the third party apps. Also can you suggest me good file explorer.

I'm using MiBox to connect my Toshiba Canvio external HDD to the TV which doesn't seem to have an USB port. But most of the times when I turn off MiBox with the controller's top button the HDD won't do the same, instead it seems to keep restarting. Even if I keep turning MiBox on and off the same keeps happening. So I turn it off by unplugging the MiBox off the TV rather than the HDD itself, which I guess is less direct? But I'm worried that the HDD's data may get corrupted.

Is it safe to turn it off this way? If not, is there some completely secure way to do it or to have Canvio turn off along with MiBox?

I have Ugoos AM6 TV Box with a Samsung TV.
My goal is to have Skype video calls sitting on the sofa ~1.5 – 2 m from the TV, so that the counterpart can clearly hear me.
I have purchased on Aliexpress 20 EUR webcam, but the video and especially audio quality is mediocre.

My questions

1. Will another webcam give better sound quality in a given setup?
   Modern models such as Logitech C920 costs enormous 120-150 EUR and I'm not sure they are better proportionally to their price.
2. Is there any way to use Android smartphone as a webcam for Android TV Box?
   I have found some apps such as IP Webcam, but there is no server part available for Android.

Would appreciate your thoughts!

I’m trying to download the. “CineHub” apk, however after it’s installed, when I try to open it, it goes into a white screen for 3 or 4 seconds, and the app crashes. I’ve downloaded the same Apk on my android TV box, and it installed perfectly fine, any ideas to why?
