Hi everyone,

I am experiencing this problem about subtitles on VLC on my Android TV while playing a movie from an external HDD connected via USB.

When I choose "download subtitles" VLC lists them according to my language preferences successfully. Then I choose one of them. The little revolving circle appears for a brief moment so one thinks it downloads the selected subtitle but then there is nothing there. I can't find the subtitle in the native "subtitles" folder or in the folder in ext.HDD in which the movie file is. Earlier there was no problem with this process.

Any solution would be appreciated, thanks in advance.

For some incomprehensible reason my mothers phone can cast to my TV. I can't find any way to "unlink" it and i have no idea if it's linked via her google+ or linked to the phone directly.

The TV itself has no options for even viewing linked devices, let alone disabling them. I assumed it was because she was part of my google home "household", but even removing her from that had no effect at all.

I'm at a loss, because at this point it's malware and by far the most insecure software I've ever used.

Mouse toggle for Android TV v1.52 I have installed in my mi box s. But it cannot initiate mouse cursor after rapid pressing volume negative and positive button. Can anybody help, how mouse toggle will work on mi box s?

I just bought this box, so far pretty happy with it, but speaking about Amazon prime video app, its functionality seems limited or, simply put, awkward.

When I asked Google Assistant to install the app, it jumped and did it without any issues, but if I try to look at the app inside the Google play market, shows me it's not supported.

I'm really confused in both of them As Firestick 4K Supports HDR10+ and Dolby Vision the confusion is getting more strong. Don't care about Dolby Atmos as I don't have high end sound system. Morning all, Hope this is the right forum, and the right question!

After recently cutting the cord, I'm loking for a replacement streaming device. At the moment I have a Roku Streaming stick + for the 4k plugged directly into my AV Receiver and its been great. But where it was I think it overheated and now its a bit flakey.

I watch Netflix, amazon Prime, NowTV and freeview services like BBC iPlayer. I don't have an antenna for the digital freeview channels

I started looking into alternatives and was wondering what the thoughts of this sub was? Don't mind spending up to or slightly over £200 for the right device. What I've found

• Nividia Shield was going to be my orignal choice. But they're out of stock everywhere, and more importantly I understand you can't get Now TV on them? Thiis is a deal breakbreaker. I want a device that plays all the content I view.

• Failing all else just buy a replacement Roku?

• Then I saw Android TV boxes (read the first comment here about cheap boxes, and that was my concern. Hence the research and coming here). That led me to the Mi Box? Can it do everything? Is there a specific model I should be looking at?

I'd appreciate any thoughts or suggestions that I can go away and research, anything I may have missed.

Hi guys, so I’m putting together my first home theatre set-up and just picked up a Vizio P-series television. Due to the lackluster speakers, naturally I started shopping for a sound bar and came across the JBL Link Bar with the accompanying subwoofer. After reading the reviews, I understood that the sound was great but the Android tv elements left a lot to be desired however for $209 at Best Buy, I decided it was still better than anything at that price point. I’ve also decided that I’m going to pair it with an NVIDIA Shield as that seems to be a great product and I’m excited about a lot of the features.

My question is: what’s the best way to set all these devices up? I’ve considered Optical Audio from sound-bar to TV and plugging the shield directly into the TV hdmi but I’m concerned that I won’t be able to control the EQ settings for the sound-bar since they’re located within the on screen settings. Any suggestions?

I have a MiBox running android 8.0 I could not get it to connect to my parent's wifi I discovered the problem the way my parent's set up their wifi is that only devices that have their MAC numbers registered with the router can connect. I discovered that the Mibox has the MAC number set to randomize instead of using the devices MAC number so the router wont let it connect. Is there a way to turn off or disable randomizing MAC number I looked in the wifi settings and did not see the option like you have on an android phone.

My Mi Box is at the latest version, when watching youtube on it about every 5 minutes the sound stops for 2 seconds ending with a beep. I have switched the sound output to PCM (manual) but to no avail.

The amplifier isn't the problem.

Anyone ever had this issue? And if so, how did you solve it?

I have a Xiaomi Mi TV Box 3 and want to connect it with a ethernet cable. I bought a usb to utp adapter on AliExpress but connection is dropping all the time. With WiFi there is no problem, there for I no my internet connection is not the problem.

Do some of you had the same problem and how do you fixed it? Or Do you know a good adapter on AliExpress that will work?

Recently did a restore puffin stopped working I have file manager downloader

It wont let me install from the multiple site i know of (i did allow from unknown sources)

I did try to uninstall and go through google play to update so puffin would work but that didnt work either

Hello guys, so recently i bought a android tv (sharp bl2), and today when i went to watch a bit of netflix while using subtitles my image flickes, without them the image is good. I tried on stremio to see with the same movie but it works fine. Is this a problem from the app or can i do something to fix it?

What buttons work/don't? How easy is pairing? Optionally, what about those of you with a Tivo Stream 4K and a Mi Box S?

Anybody used both and can compare the speed?
