My Mi Box is at the latest version, when watching youtube on it about every 5 minutes the sound stops for 2 seconds ending with a beep. I have switched the sound output to PCM (manual) but to no avail.
The amplifier isn't the problem.
Anyone ever had this issue? And if so, how did you solve it?

U tried googling settings for that set up, maybe your tv is set to auto detect audio output and keeps switching back and forth from tv to amp every 5 minutes
I bet it's your receiver even though you said it's not. I've never heard a beeping from both my Mi Box's. If sound stops working it just stops working and cuts out. There is no beep. That beep must be from your receiver.
That usually happens on my box when the remote disconnects and reconnects. You could try keeping the remote near the box and see if that resolves the issue, maybe the remote isn't detecting the box.
My Mi Box 4S is doing the same and is directly connected to the TV
