I have a TCL Smart TV with AndroidTV 9 and with built-in DVB-S2/T card, everything works as was mentioned but the native app to manage my satellite/antenna channels sucks and you can't personalize on it. I did some research and I found this company named TARA Systems and they developed this really powerful App called LiveOn TV to manage your channels and with a really cool UI and much more stuff but unfortunately I didn't find a way to download it because they only work with OEMs.

Question 1: Is there any other app that can do the trick like this LiveOn TV app?

Question 2: If you have a link to download the original LiveOn TV app from TARA Systems or you know how to purchase it or something please don't hesitate to tell me.

I have been using Jetstreak 4k box for over a year. While using TV Guides I always used Page up and Page down with now problem with my harmony remote. Last night I did the update to android 9.0 and now page up or down does not work. Does anybody have any suggestions?

I just got VU TV 55PM right off the bat i had hiccups in setup i could not setup my google account, always showed network issues....had to skip it.... afterwards i restarted the tv then wifi worked for 15 minutes in that time i did some stuff....and it stopped again, meanwhile all other devices had working internet. This cycle keeps on working every 15 - 20min i have to restart..

My router is tplink e80f dual band im on 5g band and on dhcp connection

Just got a Mibox S and I can download everything except for spotify.

It says "this app can't be downloaded" with no errors or anything.

Is this a spotify server-side issue?

Is it possible to have the "screensaver" run but disable the "chromecast built-in" (and possibly all the text) banner it displays?

I'm wondering how good this could be for an oled as the same text would be displayed in a constant spot if the TV is kept on. the screensaver for long periods of time.

Hi all day today whenever I turn to the input my Nvidia shield tv pro 2019 is on. My shield will automatically come on. It’s never done this before. I have always powered it on my Remote. why is this happening? Thank you very much

Hi everybody! I recently bought a soundbar (sony hts350) to pair with my Android TV (KD-49XF7596). I connected the soundbar to the tv with an HDMI cable. I have noticed that when streaming something on Netflix the sound seemed to be too low. I discovered that the Netflix app is considering my 2.1 as a 5.1 system and so it automatically select a 5.1 audio source when available. Manually selecting the "standard" audio source made everything fine. I think I have the same issue with the Prime Video Android TV app but I did not succeed in finding the audio settings to fix that behavior. Can you guys help me out with that? Thank you in advance.

The update went through smooth and without issues, I didn't need to reset the device to factory settings because it's been working great so far.

Pros:

- Better responsiveness throughout the interface.

- Dolby Digital Plus to Dolby Digital conversion through the SPDIF audio setting (Using "Auto" doesn't make the conversion).

- Native UVC webcam support.

- Amazon Prime Video didn't come as a system app because it was already available in the Play Store on Android 8.

Cons:

- The WiFi is NOT that stable or at least it doesn't get to the full speed of the internet connection, for example, I have 20Mbps download and upload and the download speed only gets to an average of 8Mbps though the upload always gets to the maximum speed of 20Mbps. I just hope u/sdmc_tech take this into account and provide a firmware update to Ematic to fix this problem.

- The device doesn't support Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio passtrough.

- Google removed multichannel PCM support on Android 9 for some reason.

What is still missing:

- Auto frame rate support.

- An up to date security patch.

So I am a proud owner of the Hisense H6560G Android TV as of Thursday and so far, I'm enjoying it as best as I can. However, I am having two major issues that I can't seem to find the answers specific to my problem.

1. "Storage space running out"

I have recently begun to get this notification that I'm running out of storage space. Here's the thing - I'm not. My TV apparently comes with 4GB of internal storage and I still have 3GB of space available.

I also have plugged in a 64GB Samsung USB drive. The drive shows, but as soon as I try to format into internal storage, it says there's no space on the USB drive and I continue to get the above. I have tried reformatting through the TV and I've even reformatted with my PC due to the large size.

But again, not only does the TV make me reformat the drive and shows 0kb afterwards, I still get the above "storage space running out" What is going on and what am I doing wrong??

2. Live channel guide

So this TV replaces an Insignia Amazon Fire Edition TV. The one thing I did love about the previous TV was the live channel guide.

It took all three of my streaming services - Philo, Sling, and Pluto TV - and showed all of the channels, including my favorites, in one guide. Well before I looked into the Android TVs (and any smart TV), I asked if there was something like this for smart or Android TVs.

I was told that either Live Channels or Channels Plus would do what the Fire TV did. That is...not completely true.

Despite selecting Sling and Pluto in set up, Live Channels ONLY shows Pluto TV's channels, which are 100 and while the interface is far better than the not updated Pluto Android TV interface, it doesn't tell me what's actually ON the channel.

As far Channels Plus, not only was the set up far more complicated than I had imagined, but after finally getting Sling and Philo set it, it doesn't allow for Pluto and it's missing channels from the line up (like TNT and TBS).

While I wouldn't mind paying for an app, I want it to encompass ALL three live streaming services. So, my question IS there something like that? I noticed that I can set up my favorite channels from Sling on the home screen, which is great, but I'd like something for Pluto and Philo, even if I have to do it from the home screen.

3 Home screen channels not being updated

This is actually something I just noticed. On the home screen, I have my Sling TV favorites and YouTube subscriptions as some of my channels.

I just noticed that they don't seem to be updating. For instance, TBS seems to be running a Star Wars marathon today (or this weekend). When I turned the TV on this morning, it was listing Phantom Menace for example. Just now, when I was going through the list, it STILL said Phantom, despite going to the channel and seeing that Attack of the Clones was nearly over.

I had noticed this morning that my YT subscriptions also weren't updating as I had a new video show up under YT but not the channels. Shouldn't these be updating??

I did just update all of the available apps that needed to be updated, but shouldn't they just be updated? Do I actually have to turn the TV off and then back on? Also, I noticed on my first night that when in an app (Pluto TV at the time), that when I turned the TV off and then turned it back on the next day, it seemed stuck in trying to load. I had to hit the home button before it worked.

Does this mean that I have to exit a program before turning the TV off? On the Fire TV and on any TV really, if you turn off the TV and turn it back on it, it will either go to the home screen or back to the channel you were watching.

Does the Android TV not do that?

I’m having this issue with an app called Kayo and when programs end, I receive the following error and I have to start another app which is a live tv channels app and then go back for the Kayo app to work. “this device does not provide a decoder for video/avc kayo”. I also can’t use the picture in picture feature in this app as I receive the same error. Any insight would be appreciated.

Tl:Dr at the bottom. So as someone who has lurked and sometimes posted on this sub I know that I am not the only one who has problems with the MiBox S. So I had this crazy idea of pushing the chip just a little further so I can actually watch in 4K. So my question is if anyone has tried it and if it worked.

So I essentially get micro stuttering every ten seconds when I put it on 4k which is just annoying and really fucks up the immersion. This does seem to me as either a frequency problem where the chip just cant keep up or thermal throttling. So I know that this ist probably not going to work with the current case which is why I will just take it out and put the case away. I will print a new one which will definitely be a frankencase that will include at least a fan. I will have to look through the old cooling stuff from my dad if I can get a heat sink and then design the case around it.

Please don't go to hard on me regarding spelling mistakes I am on mobile and no native speaker.

Tl:Dr Since the MiBox S won't run 4k I will increase the cooling capabilities to make it run faster.

Need a few recommendations on good wireless headphones or earbuds to pair with my Android TV. My Apple AirPods don’t connect all the time and have various issues. My TV is a newer Sony model.

Would appreciate knowing what you have had success connecting with. Pretty sure I have the most recent version of Android on the TV.

The Amazon Prime app no longer works on my Mibox 3. It prompts me to go to the Google Play Store to update the app, but the Amazon Prime app is not available at the Playstore on my Mibox 3. I tried looking for some Amazon Prime APKs at Aptoid and APKPure but the APKs that they have also prompt me to update. I was able to get Prime to work on my Mibox 4 by updating it to Android 9, but the update is not available for Mibox 3.

Any ideas? I guess I could try to download Android 9 on my PC, then try to flash it to my Mibox 3, but I would prefer just getting an up to date Prime APK that works with my Mibox as it is. If anyone knows where I can get that APK I would appreciate it. Thanks.

I installed Pluto TV on my Android TCL TV (non Roku) and when I use the app it works perfect but the Android Live TV app recognizes Pluto and it shows the guide and every channel but without audio.

What should I do to fix it?
I don’t mind using the app directly but I want to have it on the Live TV option as well because it is easy for my parents to use
