Don't overlook the TiVo Stream 4K dongle. It's straight Android TV with a decent remote and pretty good power inside. Had some issues at first, around HDMI CEC and turning TVs back on when you weren't looking, but they fixed it recently with an update.

Has an interesting TiVo Stream app, with a guide for Sling TV users, and a whole bunch of recommendations for content to watch via Netflix and other apps, but it's just an app. It boots into straight Android TV and if you never open the app, it's a pretty clean device.

What should you look for when buying one? I've bought two since 2016 and they never seem to update android or firmware
