Are you logged in on your account in the YouTube app on the Android TV? If you only casts from your phone for example you don't need to be logged in and then the recommendations will show from last time you was logged in.
You mean the history log of all watched videos or some other option, would you point out to me where to find this option
If you have your playback history turned off, that's probably the reason why.
