Hello everyone,

Is there a Dolby Atmos capable media player for Android TV that can play files over the local network? I have some demo files on my NAS and just installed Kodi, however my soundbar only displays "Dolby Audio", not "Dolby Atmos".

For reference, the soundbar does display "Dolby Atmos" when I play something from the integrated AppleTV app. I also got "Dobly Atmos" when using Plex, however I would rather not run Plex on the NAS as it prevents the disks from going to sleep.

I just bought Mi Box 4K. I set it up next to my 3rd generaton Apple TV. I realised that Mi Box do not have good wifi connection. It sometimes have trouble to connect to the wifi, sometimes it connects but has no internet connection eventough it has "Good" signal quality. My router is in a different room but my iphone, ipad, laptop and Apple TV streams perfectly in my living room where Mi Box has trouble. When I try Mi Box in the room where router is, it works perfectly. What is the problem with this box? Is it just that Mi Box has not good enough sensitivity to work in my living room while all the other devices can? Or is there a way to fix this?

Has anyone found the Google TV ethernet adapter in U.S. stores? I can't find it on any of the typical websites and seems to be a Google Store exclusive although their customer service can't seem to confirm.

My problem is I purchased Google TV as an upgrade from my Chromecast Ultra. I was hooked up through ethernet as there a poor wifi signal where the TV is setup. I would have purchased the ethernet adapter during the original purchase if I knew it didn't come in box but I didn't. Know my options are buy the $20 plug with $10 shipping or buy a $40 USB-C hub. Seems pretty ridiculous at this point and I'm tempted to just return it on principal. Any suggestions?

Whenever I connect my bluetooth headset to my philips tv, the maximum volume turns to 15 rather than 60 ( when headset is not connected), the volume on the headphone is very low comparing to when I connect the headphone to my phone !

Is there any way to increase the volume beyond 15 ?

What am I missing here? I get YouTube Music because I have YouTube Premium so I thought I'd give it a whirl on my Shield to see how it compares to Spotify. I can install something called YouTube Music from the play store but all it does is open up normal YouTube on the Music tab.

I don't want to watch damn videos. I want to play music like I do on Spotify where I can select playlists and genres and things. All I get is normal fucking YouTube. On my Android phone YTM is an actual app where I can listen to music like I do on Spotify

Am I doing something wrong or is the YTM implementation on Android TV just a fucking joke?

So, i'd like to display a website on an big screen, kind of dynamic display. I've tried to run it with a Raspeberry pi 3b+ but it's not smooth :/ . Then i tried with my Mi TV Stick, using Puffin TV Browser and an auto start. It works great but i can't find a way to change the starting page to auto load my website.

Any idea ? :)

Hey people...

I bought a Mi Box S, ran the updates and installed the NFL Game Pass International app via the Play Store...the app works until i click on a video and it just shows a blank screen with a second of sound every few seconds.

It works on my old Android box and on my pc, so is not subscription related. Do i need to install a video codec or something? Any help would be appreciated.

Heya Android TV people! I'm a grad student taking a HCI design class. I'm doing a class project on remote controls for Android Smart TV's. The survey is based on a Sony Android TV remote, but familiarity with any Android Smart TV remote is fine. I live in Malta which is GMT+2 - when you setup a new TV it asks you to specify the country - Malta is not in the list but you can choose "Other" as your country.

The problem with that is that time (when set to automatic) while just go to GMT+0 and randomly update at times. This causes another problem having the TV lose internet connection and having to reboot to get it back (Philips 7303 on Android 8.0.0) - but that is another story.

In my case what is it recommended to choose? Other or should I pick another country in the same timezone (Italy, Germany, Holland etc) would the latter have any complications?

I recently received a Verizon Stream TV box. And I do not like the bloat ware installed or the system branding.

Is there a way to reset it to a default Android OS? Like the one on my Sony TV with Android?

I don’t know anything specific about the device other than the model number on the box being: ASK-STI6220. And it is running version 10, kernel version 4.9.180.

I have a 55POS9002 Android OLED that suddenly turned off and now wont turn on. The standby light blinks twice and then many times quickly.

When I put in a USB with update then the update logo appears and then dissapears.

I can also turn on the philips logo with the remote but the standby keeps flashing

I have changed powerboard and mainboard.

Someone have any ideas?

Current Setup - Sony X8000g Android tv - Wired to 1GBps Asus router

TV ethernet Port is capable of 100 Mbps only

Source - OLD laptop i3 4Gb ram 1TB disk over SMB shared. Clam shelled.

I tried PLEX but it gave me lot of issues, best setup which worked for me is SMB + VLC on TV.

Still Some higher bitrate 4k h264 stutters.

Currently I m planning on buying Synology 220+ (2GBps Aggregated Ethernetlink ) to replace my old computer as I m running out of the storage.

I know not a big setup, but I would really appreciate your thoughts on streaming with Synology on Sony Tv setup.

I've seen a bunch of best app posts that focus on media, but I'm curious what other interesting other uses there are

I bought the Mecool KM6 and try to install some apps from the get my app that pre-installed.

But If I click the app, there is nothing (no app), just I can see the "update" button.

even if I press the "update" button in the app, nothing works.

Hi all, I just got a new usb microphone that works with the xiaomi 4S TV, but I want to use it more as a karaoke function and prefer to have the live sound being output as I sing into the microphone. However I'm not really sure how to manipulate the settings or download any apps that can do that. If anyone of you knows and could help out I'll be very grateful to you. It's kinda annoying to know how bad I sing after the whole song was sang in the same fashion lol.

As per the title. The unit is great, but if I do a soft restart via the menu, it just goes into a boot loop with the logo and I have to pull the power.

I am looking for a FTP Server app that can just run automatically every time the Android TV device turns on. Does anyone know of one that can do this?

I currently have ES File-Xplorer but I have to manually turn the FTP features on. Looking for something that will just run automatically at boot and turn the FTP server on.

I am running a NVIDIA Shield as well as a few Amazon Firestick 4k's. Any heelp/suggestions appreciated.

Not sure what happened, I thought I posted in here but I can't find the post. If it was deleted then I didn't get a notification about it as to why since post is specifically related to Android TV.

I have a Moga Pro PowerA controller that I would like to connect to Android TV (Sony TV).

The Moga Pivot app is no longer in the app store. Also there used be a Moga Universal Driver app that is also no longer in the app store. I did find it hosted elsewhere but it does not work :(

Is there any other way to connect the Moga Pro controller to Android TV?

Our movers broke the screen but you can see that the android is still working on a small part of the screen that's not broken. Is there a way to backup the data without the screen?
