Hello, I have a Xiaomi Mibox 4S and every day Disney+ / Netflix disconnect, I need to put my username + password each time. I don't have this problem with PrimeVideo. I use official APK from the store.

Do you have an idea why ? (I also use PiHole on my router, but I don't think this is the problem)

TLDR - I have 2 nVidia Shields, both with same Gmail account as ‘Account’ used and logged into. Installed “Hungry Shark Evolution” on both. Saved progress not syncing, but game indicates it should. No option in game settings. On one Shield, account settings (of shield, nor game) has a ‘Play Games Cloud Saved’ option, and it’s enabled —but this is not shown or an option on other identical Shield.

As the title suggest, I have:

• 2 nVidia Shields
• Both now have the same “account” (a ‘gmail’ one)
• Both now have the same game installed (Hungry Shark Evolution)

...but, all the game progress done in Shield 1 does not show up on Shield 2.

Two interesting points that may or may not be relevant:

• Hungry Sharks Evolution claims there is a “Cloud Save” option when you select the cog wheel, but there is absolutely no such thing. In fact, they state the cog wheel is in top-right corner when really in top-left. This makes me think it’s different on Android vs Android TV (i.e. the Shield)

• Under Shield 1’s “Settings” -> “Accounts & Sign-In”, the account lists a lot more options —which one being “Play Games Cloud Saved”. It’s ON, and I’ve clicked ‘Sync now’ a few times with no luck. On Shield 2, it -only- has the options as “Calendar” and “People Details”. Nothing about Play Games Cloud Save. Same email gmail account for both.

Any ideas? Is this game just broken? Is there any way to even manually copy th progress over?

Can some one help me for selecting best display settings for sports? I bought 4k tv but my experience is not so good till now? someone please help.

So I have some streams which come through the iview app, as well as I sometimes watch youtube through the mibox. In both cases occasionally the picture will go blank for a split second, yet the audio will continue as normal. I guess this happens once every 3 minutes or so, but it varies. Sometimes its good for much longer, sometimes happens more frequently in shorter space.

I did not have this issue using the mibox on my old tv, and I have also tried on a friends tv and no issue. I've also tried using a different HDMI port of the tv and tried with a different HDMI cable.

Note that I have watched movies on the tv by connecting my laptop and when I do this there is no issue. So I don't believe the issue is simply with the tv, but rather a compatibility / setting between the tv and the mibox. The tv is a samsung.

Does anyone have any idea what I could try to get to the bottom of this? I've tried googling but the only advice I found was about turning off SDR to HDR and HDR to SDR and I did this and still the issue persists. Any advice much appreciated.

My screen res settings on mibox are:

2160p60hz

color depth settings : on

color space settings YCbCr420

Is the chromecast with google tv fast for browsing the internet? Also will it play local mkv files from a usb stick if i use a dongle?

I'm quite happy with the Mi Box S performance but the main reason I want to upgrade is the remote.
I want a full remote like the Nokia Streaming Box has for more convenient TV watching.

I've just bought a Xiaomi Mi Stick and I couldn't set it up. At first the bluetooth RC was paired and I was just about to enter my Google info, but then the RC stopped working. After a while Wi-Fi disconnected aswell. It has my Wi-Fi info but it doesn't connect to it. Therefore I can't connect my phone as a RC, I can't use my RC itself and I can't hard reset it. Stick doesn't have a USB port so I can't connect a mouse either. Any suggestions?

(Edit) List of things that do and do not work:

-My RC can be detected by other bluetooth devices. Batteries are fine.-RC did work when I launched the stick first, but it doesn't work anymore.-I can't hard reset my stick with holding the Back and OK buttons during the booting.-I can't use my phone as a remote controller via apps because the stick doesn't connect to wi-fi.

Update: Decided to return it while I still can.

I've wasted my evening trying to find an alternative to Puffin which, all of a sudden, wants $ to to let me continue using it. I've tried Firefox, TV bro, and Chrome, but nine if them seems to be a le to play DRM content out of the box... Help? I'm using a shield. TIA

Something has changed and I can no longer force stop and clear data to pick up a different country store with a VPN. Anyone find a work around ? It doesn't look like I can add another account to sign in either just the one I added at set up.

So it seems like this happened after the latest Android tv update (not 100% sure though) but I can no longer select any hdmi inputs. The input menu just doesn't come up anymore whether I try the button on the remote or selecting inputs from the home menu. My ps4 pro is on the arc input and I used to be able to just turn the ps4 on and it would automatically switch to that input but even that doesn't work. Anyone else having this issue by chance?

I've been more than happy with the native Android TV on the Sony A8H. Even more so since the interface was upgraded to look more like the new Google TV. I love being able to use the Sony remote for everything. 1 remote for all! The picture quality when streaming from Netflix and HBOmax has been great as well as the sound pumping through my Sonos Beam and surrounds. I feel confident in my home theatre currently but i'm always looking for the best.

My question is this. How much better is the new Apple TV 4K that was just announced? Is it going to be a significant improvement over the native Android TV on my Sony A8H? Am I going to see an improvement in picture and sound quality? Am I going to love the new apple remote and the interface that much more? Is it Faster? Easier to use?

I'm asking someone out there to sell me on spending $179.99+tax on the new Apple TV 4K

I have a sony 55 inch x950g tv.I have 150mbps fiber internet connection, and i have highest netflik 4k hdr uhd premium subscription. When i play a title on netflix, if the title is available in dolby vision, it automatically plays in dolby vision. I dont like yellowish dolby vision colour profile as it is a little bit on warmer side and i like a cooler colour tone with less yellowish tint and more bluish tint. Initially i was superexcited to experience 4k dolby vision hdr but after consuming a lot of content, i really dont feel much excited now. Is there any way to stop playing the netflix videos by default in dolby vision.Its like dolby vision is forcefully implented on me even though i dont like it.Any way to get rid of it ?

Hi, I’ve just bought a tv has built in android tv. I tried geaforce now on it but it was too laggy with ethernet. Then I did a speed test and get 190 ping and 400mbps download but It should be around 50mbps, I have isp subscription for 50mbps. I tried with dns and also wifi but didn’t worked. What can I do?

Edit: I think puffin browser has some kimd of vpn so it affects my results
