How to stop the commercials (specially adult content) on restricted profile home screen?

Is there any way to force captions to always overlay the video or to move the captions on the screen? I have a 21:9 display and captions are cut off whenever I watch 21:9 content.

So I got my new Panasonic TV a few days ago and up until an hour ago it was fine. But now I can't access any other inputs; when I select them the screen flashes black for half a second and then it just shows the home screen. I've tried rebooting, unplugging the TV, changing settings but I can't fix it and I don't know what to do.

Please help :(

After setting the new GoogleTV Launcher as default via ADB using the command

adb shell cmd package set-home-activity "com.google.android.apps.tv.launcherx"

on my Android TV Box, checking the default launcher (always via ADB) using two different methods the shell returns a mismatching result as you can see below, and in practice the manufacturer's own launcher (timvision.launcher) always opens as default. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

Hi,

I have just bought a Xiaomi Mi Box S witch is the first Andoid TV I have tried besides chromecast.

So fare I am happy with the box, and all the apps, and streaming services are working.

I have now bought a Gioteck VX4 wireless GamePad. But I cannot for the love of me get it to connect.

Since it is a PS4 compatible controller I cannot see why it should not work, but cannot find any documentation on this controller and my specific Mi Box S.

Any suggestions is appreciated.

I have mibox 3 (Android 9) and since last week it's remote has started working erratically.

It randomly stops working,

sometimes if I press some button it takes forever to respond &

sometimes it keeps reacting as if that button was pressed for a long time despite being pressed only once.

I have tried:

Android TV remote App, Different new Xiaomi remote

but the results are same.

Is this related to some new upgrade? Has anyone else faced this issue recently too?

I have tried factory reset, new batteries, different remote & Android TV app for mobile. Nothing has helped me yet.

I got a TCL android tv (model:50P616), and I went and checked the developer mode and one option turned my screen black the option name is "Simulate secondary displays" and of course I turned 4k option on and as I mentioned it earlier my screen went black and I don't know what to do. Please help *And now I noticed that my remote doesn't work as well.

Edit: With all of your help I managed to fix it, the combination of buttons are as follows: power button, than the volume button down, afterwards the volume button up and at the end the mute button.

All the Android TV boxes I look up only have 2 USB ports. I'd like 3+ USB ports with at least one USB 3.0. Also 4/64+GB RAM, BT, SD slot, etc.

I keep getting this issue where they my remote keeps disconnecting from my onn. 4K. I think it is unpairing because it flashes red (indicating buttons are being pushed) instead of flashing green. Not sure if I got a bad unit or this is common.

Is anyone else having issues were their onn. Remote randomly disconnects (unpairs?) to the box?

Is anyone successfully using Tailscale on Android TV? I've seen some Twitter posts showing Tailscale running on Android TV, but I cannot get it work on my Nvidia Shield with Shield Experience v8.2.3.

I have sideloaded the most current version and launched Tailscale with Sideload Launcher. Upon launch, the app shows a blank white screen indefinitely.

I also tried a version from February released shortly before the date of one of the Android TV/Tailscale Twitter posts.

My Sharp Android TV just crapped out on me and I’m in the market for a new Android TV. Was toying with the Sony X750H but wondering if I would be better off with something else?

On set up, I shut both modes off but now want to switch them back on and i can’t figure out how.

In Settings > System > Cast, it’s just a blank screen. No options.

Up until now I've been using popcorntime(yes im poor) on my laptop connected to my TV via hdmi to watch movies. However it is starting to be a pain in the ass. Recently I've stumbled across these android TV boxes that sell for about 50$ and I was wondering if they are any good. Like will I be able to download apps just like on my phone? Also what's the difference between those boxes and the sticks? The amazon fire stick, Google chromecast and mi box are always popping up when I search for android TV. Which one should I get but not too expensive pls. As long as I can use those pirate apps and websites to watch movies im cool with it.

Hello guys, can someone give me an advice to buy an Android TV box which resolution is at least 1080p, and most importantly, I can control from my own network? (With Teamviewer for example).
