My girlfriend's father wants to use Disney+ on his 2nd TV, a Sony which has not the app, so I was looking for something to do just that.
Should I go for Mi Box S?
I would buy used too!

I'm trying to script a bit around networking stack using JuiceSSH local device connection but there is no curl to fetch stuff from internet, any idea how:

1. I can install curl
2. run curl like command other wise on android stack

I bought a TCL R646 and like the picture quality. As a long time Roku user it is taking some getting used to to understand the user interface.

The TV booted up options for Netflix, Prime, Disney, etc. But I don't see one of the streaming channels that I use on Roku. Kanopy. How do I load Kanopy?

I looked in Settings and see that I am using AR2101 and System Update says I am up to date.

First of all, I'm talking about apple tv apps in android TV not apple tv device.

So, Apple TV app is available in all android TV now. But, I don't find any option to change the region even I sign in using my other country apple ID. Any idea how? Or its only on apple tv device?

I'm looking for an Android TV box to use in combination with a simple soundbar and an old TV (also should be available in Germany).
It should ideally be on Android TV 10 or 11 tho. Also Performance on 4k shouldn't suck.
I don't want to pay more than 100€, so no Nvidia shield or some sort.

What would you guys suggest?

So this is a bit noob question, but manual says nothing about it.

I have Philips 65PUS7805 Smart TV. When i use Chrome or Edge, then it will allow me to cast Youtube tabs to TV (same with phone). But when i want to cast entire desktop, it says this device is not supported.

So what does it mean exactly? Which protocol is it using for casting? Why only Youtube window, and not entire screen? Is it using Miracast or DLNA?

Surprised to see a beautiful full screen display, can scroll with dpad, and can drill in to get hourly forecast. Thanks Google! It is so good, I'm thinking it would be good if there was a card that could do that instead of asking. What do you think?

Please recommend any adblocking software or any DNS based adblocking that actually works fast enough on ATV 11, i have tried adblocking apps but they are being recognised by certain apps and they fail to work. Is there anyway to bypass that instead ? Thanks for your inputs.

Hi all, First of all, I just bought my first tv with AndroidTV included, its the 43PUS8536 Philips Ambilight 2021 "the one" and I have a few questions regarding the TV and Android, if someone can help me out figuring out. I have running Android 10:

1. Can't open recent apps. Even with keymapper. I have assigned a button to open and it just wont. Same with split screen.
2. Any way of connecting an android phone as a bluetooth controller to use with Geforce Now? Or SteamLink? All I'm seeing are apps for windows...
3. Any way of addding to the home screen some shortcuts to some of the settings/quick settings? I want to get the sunrise alarm or ambisleep on the home screen, to not scroll through all the setting everytime
4. Activating "ok google" via voice on the remote? Is this a setting to be activated?

I bought 4 of these onn android tv streamers and our dog chewed down two of the remotes already.

I can't find the remotes by themselves.

Do you know if they are available anywhere?

Google Play Movies received a Play Store update to Google TV on 04 October 2021. However, following the update the app is still called Google Play Movies in the app drawer and the Ul is still the old one. When I search for Play Movies in the Play Store lI'm brought to "Google TV (previously Google Play Movies & TV)", version 4.28.57.

I'm based in Ireland and seeing the same thing on a Pixel 4, Pixel 4a and Pixel 6.

Is anyone else experiencing this, whereby the app has updated to Google TV but the app's name and Ul haven't changed?

Hi there. If i have an Android 10 TV (not a box but just an Android TV) can i use it like a Wi-Fi hotspot? For example i could need to update an iPhone wich need a Non iOS Wi-Fi

So, I have a weird problem. It happened all of sudden.

My android tv popped message "ethernet not connected" so I can't use my internet in my android tv. I checked all the devices its all fine (restart router, check and change the cable, check the router port availability, and I even tried to change both DHCP and static connection, etc) all the hardware is fine but still I can't use internet and popped "ethernet is not connected". I also did hard reboot the tv but still no luck.

The thing is when I unplug the ethernet cable and tried to use WIFI connection its all normal I can use the internet in my android tv. But, I need to use LAN cable since I sometime need to use direct movie sharing with my PC and ofc stable speed with cable.

Any idea how to fix it? I checked on yt that I need to change date and time but... no luck either. All from the internet method I already tried.

Its funny since its all of sudden, yesterday its still normal and I only use Netflix yesterday.

*Update: Thanks to all who replied my issue, I still don’t know what the cause of my issue but sadly factory reset solved my problem and now I need to download bunch of apps again haha :((

Hello everyone! I'm about to drop my cable provider set top box (it SUCKS) and go full streaming services on my TV. A friend lent me an Amazon FireTV Stick and it works great!

However, I just bought a CCwGTV (since I'm in Argentina, we don't really use Amazon services and a clean android experience seems preferable) and I remembered I have a crappy tv in the living room with no overscan options!

On the fire stick I could change the aspect ratio manually and googling a bit, it seems the Chromecast doesn't have it. Since I'm not planning to change the TV anytime soon (rather than price, the TV selections here is awful and old)

Can anyone confirm if the Chromecast with the latest updates has or not the option? If not, I'll probably cancel the purchase and get a Fire stick (and no, we don't have mecool available locally, it's pretty much Chromecast/FireTv/MiBox if you want a quality device and they all cost the same)

My CCwGTV likes to move YouTube and prime video to after the fold. Almost seems like it moves them when updating? Or is it a conspiracy to push the awful YouTube music app (tends to land at spot #1)

I'm looking to somehow wirelessly mirror my android shield that is on my 1 TV to another TV and was wondering how this could be done?

I can find tons of "mirror phone to TV" that is not what I want, I want a 2nd TV near by to simply mirror what my shield TV is displaying.

I want to know how to use a USB to display pictures, kind of like a slideshow. I've been searching everything and still haven't found it. TIA.
