Hi I just got an Android tv, it says it has 4gb storage, is there anyway to increase this?

I tried a bunch of browser apps and none of them load websites, so I gave up. But if I found a working app, it would really improve my life.

Edit: Puffin TV Browser does seem to work now and seem to do what I need. I'm still wondering though, if there are other apps that will also work.

Whenever i try to turn off the tv by Remote it goes into stand by mode. (there is a red-light on the back panel).

Is there any way to completely turn off the tv so that i can unplug the power cable out of the socket.? (My area usually have Power outage and Power surges, that's why i always unplug my electronic appliance after using them)

I don't want to keep the tv on stand by mode .

I've searched all over the internet but can't find relevant information.

Please let me know if anyone know about this

I'm making this post since the app isn't on the Google Play Store, meaning I can't review it.

I installed this app not too long ago and I'm absolutely in love. It does almost everything that the official app does, except for the Live chat and some other (to me) insignificant things. On top of that it has a built-in ad blocker that can even detect and SKIP sponsored sections of videos!

I mean, what more could you want out of a YouTube viewer app?

So far I haven't had any issues and the installation was quick and easy.

I googled but couldn't find a website hosting apks that was extracted from Android tv only because some apks isn't working on my shield tv even though it was supported.

I've got a Chromecast with Google TV with a broken remote , thus came across pS5 media remote , I was wondering I can link it with my android TV , been looking for some decent remotes , and didn't stumble on anything noteworthy, also the fact that a remote in my area is not available standalone , and some.sellers are selling them.even at a peak price of nearly 80usd

How can Australian TV (Freeview) be added as a source within the Live Channels app on Google TV. I have a Nvdia Shield Pro which I love! I just find it annoying that I need to change the TV source to watch tv channels directly from the antenna. Then I change the source again to go to the Shield to watch streaming services.

I know I can just download the 7,9 and 10 apps on the Shield however that is just clunky moving between apps on the TV.

Hi All, another day another problem with Nest mini and Android tv connections, ugh seems like everyday something breaks. Now all of a sudden my nest mini can't turn the tv on or off or find it. I was able to to do that and have it open apps and now nothing works though it. Interestingly Google assistant on my phone has no problems connecting to the tv. I restarted both the nest mini and tv with no luck. This was working just a day or 2 ago. Any ideas???

I've just bought an Android TV: Hyundai FLJ43854GMSART Smart Led.

After assembly, I was able to successfully switch it on, however after a brief android logo.. nothing happens, I can only see a black screen (occasionally, there is a brief all-white screen before the black screen).

Most of the remote buttons are not working except for the power button, which brings up the prompt to turn the TV off (and actually does so if I choose so).

Quite interestingly, when I press the Netflix button on the remote, it commands me to finish the first the setup in order to use Netflix (there was never actually a first time setup brought up on the screen though).

However, when I plugged an ethernet cable to the TV, and connected to the same network via an Android phone, I was actually able to share YouTube from the phone to the TV, and YouTube content was playing on the TV properly (both video and audio), with the remote correctly maneuvering on YouTube.

More painfully, when I connected a HDMI input to the TV, it didn't acknowledge it - I couldn't select source nor via the remote neither via the android app from phone.

All in all, it seems like there is only a YouTube app on the TV and literally nothing else - not even the necessary thing to run a first-time setup.

Could you help me what can be done in this case/how can I force a factory reset or system reinstall on the TV (potentially through the net, as the ethernet connection is working)? Or am I completely in the wrong direction here, and the issue is at somewhere else?

Has anyone been successful in adding the MECOOL KM2 to their Harmony hub? When I go through the process of adding it as a device the Harmony app seems to accept it. But then it won’t actually control the box. Although I type in the model number as KM2, after added, it shows up as Kii Pro. When I try to add the device manually, the hub doesn’t recognize that I am pressing the power button. I’m wondering if anyone has stumbled across another device profile that can be added to the hub and happens to control this box. I tried all the MECOOL profiles that are in the Harmony app, but none work. I know it’s a long shot, but it’s really bugging me that I can’t get it to work with my “universal” remote. Thank you

I can’t make my soundbar Sony HTS350 work on my Philips tv. The soundbar worked just fine on another tv.

All connections are done properly through hdmi arc, HDMI Arc is active on tv; easy link is on and all settings are okay. Soundbar is turned on, on ‘tv’ mode as well as the tv. When I switch to HDMI Audio System from the ‘Audio out’ settings, I get the following error and tv switched to his own speakers.

Cannot switch to audio system. Tv speakers active.

To all intents and purposes is there any real difference?

As the title suggests, I have a S9+ sitting around which I was using as my portable retro device. At the same time, I have had trouble with the number of apps I can put on the Chromecast. People may have had luck with expanding the storage but not me. Something always messes up or the whole Chromecast just doesn't load.

I was wondering how to best approach this situation. I know you can't install the Google TV launcher on Android phones (I have tried). I see Kodi touted as a possibility but can it be a launcher with access to all my streaming apps data too?

so sometimes when my parents watch netflix or other streaming services with our chromecast google tv, it takes up to 60 mbps and me and my sisters seem to notice lag when they watch it. We have 200mbps download speed. is there anything i can do to make it take less internet?

How to open recent apps in Android TV, my Smart Box is horibbly laggy

I need some advice on whether it's worth buying an Android box for the purpose of making my existing TCL android tv run faster, and boot faster.

There is a lot of advice and recommendations on the performance and user interface upgrade one gets by plugging in an Android box on any tv (this i get). But I am concerned whether the original TV boot up time is also reduced by the new box? Does my smart TV boot up as usual and then the android box comes in to picture ? I am a bit confused with this and would really appreciate some tips whether it would be worth buying an Android box for this or not. Currently my TCL tv takes around a 45sec to a min to boot up.

(I have already tried the tips to make my TCL tv boot faster with instant on and cleaning cache etc..doesn't do much)
