If you hate getting spied on but still want to use your Android TV with internet, sideload NetGuard & in the settings make sure to let it show you system apps.
If you use CetusPlay / Zank to use your phone delete those, there is a better add free solution. All you need is this App on your phone: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=svarzee.android.apps.adb_mouse
Enable Developer Options & ADB Debugging (in Dev Options)
If you don't know how to enable Dev Options, go to settings, then About and click "Build" till it confirms you are able to use this option. Make sure your TV is connected to the same network as your phone.
*If you know other useful apps, please let me know. *
Hi everyone! I am a grad student in the OMSCS program at Georgia Tech and am currently enrolled in Human-Computer Interaction. I am focusing on a redesign of the Google TV interface for my final project in this class, and am currently performing some preliminary needfinding. If you have a few minutes, it would be immensely helpful if you could fill out this quick survey on Google TV where I am asking what features people like, dislike, and what features they would like to see in future releases. There are 7 required questions with some clarifications where "other" is selected in a multiple choice, but shouldn't take more than a few minutes to fill out. Additionally, the only personal questions asked are age group and technical literacy. If you have any questions about the survey feel free to ask here or send me a DM and I'd be happy to clarify.

If on the off chance someone here is also a GA Tech student, feel free to DM me and I can provide the internal link for students to fill out the survey. I'm not sure what the policy is on other classes but I know some classes will count surveys as participation credit.
Thanks in advance for helping out with this! Also I wanted to give a quick thanks to /u/rk_29 for giving permission to post this! :)
As I checked my Google account for granted permissions to third party apps I noticed an app called "Changhong TV ikebukuro" is the only one with "unrestricted account access" (in German it says "Uneingeschränkter Kontozugriff"). Thsi is obviously related to my Android TV, even though it's called differently (https://www.saturn.de/de/product/_ok-odl-42850fc-tab-2712294.html). Is this normal behavior for Android TVs? Do you see this too or do you know, if access can be resticted somehow. I'm very curious about your experiences.
Update: I discovered that the unrestricted access happened to every member of our home in Google Home. Removing the Android TV from our home with the Google Home app resulted in a removal of the unrestricted access to all Google accounts in our home. Did anybody else see this behavior?
I recently purchased one of these: https://www.androidtv-guide.com/streaming-gaming/xiaomi-mi-4k-laser-projector-150/
The picture quality is amazing, but the Android TV experience has been pretty awful. I've managed to upgrade it to the latest software but it is still having issues installing apps from the Playstore. When I select an app to install, it seems to download metadata about the app and then it ALWAYS brings up a panel that says I don't have enough room to install the app. The dialogue box gives the me option of "Go to storage", which reports that it has over 10Gb of space.
I have been through all the submenus and can't find any sort of configuration parameter that I need to set. I've googled everything I could think of but I can't seem to find anything useful about the problem or even the projector itself. Can anyone help?
