What's the story on all the Android TV apps? Why are they all broke now?

I stopped using them for a while started using them again and they're all broke or telling me to downgrade my TV

You should've been more specific.

  • Yes, the old "Android TV remote" app is removed from play store & doesn't work anymore. This is 6 months old news.
  • The new remote (in Google Home app and Google TV/Play movies & TV app) is more than enough. No need to use third party remote apps.
