Im using 2 external hard drive 5tb seagate on my tv usb port. The hard drive have no problem powering 1 of the external hard drive to watch a movie in it but if i connect both hard drive only one drive work but the other will have intermittent remove and connect.

Can i use "usb y cable" with external power on one of the hard or better get a "usb hub".

Didnt check previously the tv usb port version and quite disappointed with it only come with 2x usb 2.0.

I have problem playing an movie that has vorbis audio file from stremio. When i play the file, video plays for 1 second and freezes. Audio continues to play. The same file works on xiaomi tv box and chromecast with google tv, running latest version of stremio.

Does anyone have an idea how can i get the playback working?

So I realize this is a rather strange question but is there anyway to wirelessly mirror my android tv box that is connected to my tv down the hall to my monitor in a different room? I know I could theoretically buy another and connect it normally but I'm out of ports in the back of my monitor and when I had a hdmi switcher every time I switched inputs it would blue screen my old pc and I don't want to have that happen with my new pc. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated thank you!

I started watching some tv shows on it and I noticed when there's a camera flip (a cut between 2 people talking or anything else that's moving) if the frame doesn't move where the previous character's face was there's just a greenish ghostly face that stays until the camera moves also when somebody's moves I can see the ghosting very badly but it's still mostly a greenish blue ghosting outline.

Plus some colors like black are pretty pixelated making the image look terrible (would be nice to fix that also ). It's a 4k Samsung TV and a 1080p movie

Hey! I am about to buy a Chromecast with Google TV to replace my Xiaomi Mi TV Stick (the old 1080p one with 1GB RAM).

The Stick gets very hot to the touch and it gets very slow, even when just on the home menu.

We only use it to play streaming services at 1080p since the TV we have is 1080p max

I therefore have a few questions before I buy the Chromecast:

1. Does the Chromecast overheat much?
2. Does it pick up high channel 5GHz networks (which the Stick does not), like channel 100?
3. Is it faster than the Stick?
4. How stable is it?

In the Google Play Store app there's no IMDB app available. Was searching for a thirdparty app with IMDB integration but no luck. The goal is to easily watch trailers of my watchlist and other lists. I sideloaded and tested the IMDB app for smartphones but the performance was horrible.

I recently got myself a Google TV, and I have a smal issue that I wish is only a setting. But when I cast for example Youtube from my phone to the Chromecast while the tv is off. It only turns on the tv and leave it on the homescreen. In order to get it to play I have to cast again to make it open Youtube. I really want this issue fixed because I have a google nest, and when I say "Hey google, start Spotify". I want it to start the tv and then just open and play Spotify. Not just start the TV. Anyone have any suggestions?

I bought a Chromecast with Google TV and plugged into my TV. I downloaded the Live Channels app from Google wrongly assuming it would have been able to get TV channels, but it can't.

Is there a way to watch live TV on the Google TV? I know it's a "first world problem", but I just find annoying having to switch output and then get the tv remote controller.

I tried installing Kodi with the add-on World TV Helper to see the DDT channels. The app Live Channels couldn't pull the data from Kodi, but within the app everything works fine. The only problem is that I don't know how legal this is.

I mean, all the IpTv channels are free DDT channels I can watch on my TV by simply switching input. But some of those channels have apps that allow you to watch the same channel you do for free on your TV, on your mobile/Android TV... By paying a subscription. So, even if it doesn't make much sense, I assume it's illegal.

Are there better ways to get DDT channels inside the Google TV UI?

Apologies if this has been asked before, I've searched and haven't found anything. I just factory reset my TV and installed smarttuvenext and everything is working fine except there is a very annoying UI sound that I can't find how to turn off in the settings.

Hey there, since the last 4 hours I'm having problems with SmartTubeNext, the YouTube "start screen" loads normally and shows videos etc,but when I click on the video it just doesn't load or it loads few seconds and then the app is buffering to infinity. I noticed when I log out (out of YouTube on SmartTubeNext) it doesn't lag anymore and all videos play normally. The stock YouTube app works fine. I deleted cache, I deleted the app data, logged back in, still the same problem. Then I deleted the app fully, reinsalled, logged back in and boom still the same problem, log out and everything works fine. Is YouTube working on something to block third party YouTube apps?

I’ve got a Philips SmartTV running Android OS, and since I came home from work today, every video I try to play makes red tones purple and blue tones green. YouTube, Google Movies, Netflix, everything. Only the video playback. Every solution I can find online only applies to Google Chrome or an external system - nothing for an actual built-in Android TV. How do I fix this?

Yesterday the app was working flawlessly, but it seems like a sudden issue is causing any video played to buffer every few seconds. Is anyone else experiencing this currently?

Hello everyone, is there anyway to view my Blink cameras on android tv without casting from my phone? There is no blink app in the play store

I don't know if this is the right place to ask or not, but please bear with me. I have an Android TV and it's stock YouTube app restricts quality settings to 1080p as the tv resolution is 1080p. However, as YouTube compresses videos too much and I don't know if my tv can run the Av01 encoding or not.

Is there another YouTube mod or other app that can remove this restriction? A downscaled 4k looks much better than a native 1080p video as YouTube generally has 10x bitrate for 4k videos. And I have a 100mbps connection so internet speed won't be a problem.
